Will we not know the QB situ until the draft or...

Lumps

Sorry, but I've been to all but 1 training camp since this was given to us, and this whoever looks the best in TC is bullsh!t.

I've seen everything from Weinke drop ball after ball in the barrel drill, and Matt make more on the mark passes than Jake did all day. Both practices.

I've seen all of the ones that ride the pine make Jake look like pure sh!t, yet he still got the starting job.

I don't hate the guy....I just want what is best for the team. He has been good in his days, and if he doesn't have it anymore...he just doesn't have it.

Training camp, and practice means nothing when you show up on game day and lose it for you team. PERIOD!

And one session or 5 in training camp don't mean much as far as evaluating the starter. I go every year as well and one day one quarterback shines, the next day it may be someone else. Secondly the practices are just one small part of the process. What you see is where the ball was thrown, for example, not where it should have been thrown. Those are things you won't know but matter alot.

As for the barrel drill, that was 2008 not last year, Scherer didn't run those drills.

And obviously you saw what you wanted to see. I am sure there are others who felt Jake did better than the other guys based on what they saw. If I remember correctly after going to camp and watching several sessions last summer, I was concerned about all the quarterbacks in camp. Frankly none of them looked all that great. In those cases you go with the starter with experience. In the end if Moore wants to be the starter he has to be better than the rest not as good as or better some of the time. Just like McCown if he is here, he will have to be better than Jake and Moore. Otherwise he sits the bench. It isn't that hard to figure out.

I hope for the first time in a long time we have an open competition at camp giiven Jake is not the automatic starter like in year's past. It has been long over due and might actually be the first time that it wasn't lip service like it is for most teams in the league no matter what the coaches say.

What part of this did you see, choose not to see, or just purposely ignore before starting you sucking again?

Just like you say, it isn't that hard to figure it out...when are you going to do that?

You aren't there to figure it out....so quit sucking nuts

Why not stick to football and discuss the issues. Most people tend to stick to what they know. Based on your constant remarks it seems you know alot more about sucking nuts than football. Otherwise how about elevating your juvenile conversation to an adult one and talk about football unless you can't.

Since I do know football I will stick with that. Starting the season is based on the preseason and camp. Continuing to start is based on how you practice and ultimately play against an opponent in a game. Obviously the fact that Moore came in when Jake didn't play well means that if you don't play well you won't stay the starter. If Moore had shown more earlier in the year and worked harder, he would have gotten his chance sooner. It was as much his fault as Fox's but you haters won't recognize what has beeen noted by others who have interviewed players and coaches.

im sorry it should be moore's job to lose.i keep hearing moore hasnt earned the start. go back to 03 when jake took over for rodney peete. he took his job in one game but moore has played in 8(6-2 record) and still cant win the job.i dont get it.

Rodney Peete was a short term fix in 02. He wasnt making the cake the Jake is now, and even though Jake hadnt proven anything at that point (he was Aaron Brooks backup), he was still alot more marketable here than Peete. It only took 1 half of bad football for Peete to lose his job and his backup be named the starter. 11 weeks of bad football for Jake in 09, and there's still no QB change. Marketing baby!

Look, you started the personal attack on me, not vice versa. I never mentioned a year specifically, and anybody with any sense knows when Weinke was here, and wasn't, jackass.

I don't give a flying flip about what you think you know, with your self promoting attitude, yet want to criticize any and everybody that doesn't agree with you. You are an ass, and you prove it more, and more everyday.

My reply was concerning football, and asked you what part of a comment I made earlier did you not understand?

Sorry you got your wittle feewlinz hurt....because I called you out on "attempting" to know more than you do.

Your opinion is nothing more than any other person's opinion on this board.

Grow up, get a set of balls, quit sucking dick and ass, and accept that you are not the know it all of Panther Football.

Oh yeah, and quit insulting other people, and calling them "juvenile", if you can't refrain yourself from doing the same. People that don't agree with you, are not acting juvenile, they are speaking their mind, as are you. I say you are wrong, I don't like you, you suck, etc....but you respond with the same type comments, and try to convince yourself that the other person is the juvenile one. :smilielol5:

Get the strings off your back..............;)

Is anybody else worried about going into next season with the QB option basically just either Jake or Moore?? I mean, I do feel a little better with how the team responded with Moore as the starter down the stretch but I do not think he is the long term solution. Who knows, maybe he is, but to go into next season without bringing in somebody else could be a big mistake.

First of all reread my post and you will see that I didn't attack you. Saying someone is sucking on someone's nuts is a far cry from saying that what I said. And seriously do you really think that the comments you make are mature and well considered. You go for the attack, comic relief, homosexual reference every time and then get offended when someone doesn't think it is funny and calls it juvenile. Perhaps it is me then. I guess the board has been flooded by teenagers and 20 somethings who think that your humor is funny and would rather watch family guy than 24, cartoons to commentary.

Honestly you don't have to agree with me and that is fine but you can do in a civil adult like manner. Lacking that can only be described as immature and juvenile. It really isn't much of a debate. I won't continue to lower myself to debate with you because experience shows you lack the ability to raise the level of your conversation and will sink even deeper into personal insults and namecalling. So say what you will but don't delude yourself into thinking you are an adult or that you are in any way retaliating ot taking the high road. You resent anyone disagreeing with you and resort to the lowest form of defense used primarily by children and low functioning adults. You have the option to change whenever you like but obviously lack the inclination or ability. Take your pick.

You can only have 3 guys on the active roster at quarterback without suffering elsewhere. If you go with Jake and Matt, you can either go with a verteran who will sit the bench or a young guy who isn't ready to play which means they can't help you that much. Anybody on the practice squad can be stolen if they are worth their salt like we did with Moore so you don't have that many choices.
