Reich v. Hackett

Hackett was terrible, no argument there. However, I think a couple of things have to be factored into his time in Denver. I think he was hired in an attempt to lure Aaron Rodgers into going to Denver. That didn't happen. Adding to that, plan B, Russell Wilson, being god-awful horrible and looking like he has never played the game at times, didn't hep matters any.

I think Reich's decision was correct, tbh. I'd absolutely take a shot on Pineiro just burying one over Bryce picking that first down up.

Shows you what the team really thinks of Bryce right now, when they're not talking poo for the media.

Also from his reaction it was pretty clear that Pineiro told him he didn't have that kick lol.

I had more issues with the 3 plays before that. No running plays or screens to try and make that kick shorter

    • Sure we'll be involved in talks but I can't see any scenario where we trade LaMelo, Kon or Brandon. And I can't see any scenario where we get another superstar without including 1 of those guys. Hence my use of the word "realistically" in that post.
    • Oh yeah the switching up the play calling is often the first punt. It usually isn’t a voluntary concession.    Except I think this is possibly more an honest self scout than pressure from the owner type of a thing. Is this a defensive move reeking of fear like it normally is, trying to placate an unhappy owner/fan base or a sincere attempt to improve the results? I am leaning sincere.   I say that because I get zero sense from Tepper that he is even one foot off the wagon. He seems to be very much on board, going by that McAfee interview. The average fans are the same. All bought in after making the playoffs.
    • Wow, I'm shocked. I wonder if they reviewed all the games and came to the conclusion of the play calls and the quarterback did not mix that well. Granted, I think I know which side carries the brunt of that blame, but it's just another step in the "Is Bryce our guy?" experience I suppose.  I do wonder how much this will free up Dave though as well and help Idzik grow and potentially get interview opportunities.
