I'm no fan of Irvin, by all accounts he is pure scum... but this sounds totally bogus - the woman asked for hush money first and when he wouldn't pay she filed charges.

No self-respecting woman I know who was actually raped would be satisfied with a financial settlement.

Most people that are really raped dont file charges at all.... If they do they dont ask for money first.

according to the article on espn.com she DID file a report 15 days after it happened but the evidence was already gone and so were the surveillance tapes, it happened on an Indian reservation so who knows how the investigation really went

If that's true, then it was a bad idea to go for some financial settlement since that suggests there's a dollar figure on how much it was worth to her to be raped.

you're freakin' hilarious dude. people should know better than to believe someone going after money. it's the exact same thing that happened to Big Ben last off season, and what's happened to several other hundreds of athletes. women see money, and they go after it, simple as that.

I hope it isnt true because I like watching Irvin on tv. The dude says crazy things but he seems like a cool guy. Most of the ppl bashing Irvin in this thread are only bashing him because he's an ex Cowboy. Some of you guys are acting like he fuged your gf lol.
