I choose OLB as the darkhorse this year...

After looking into the DT situation, i don't see us having room for one on the roster unless a really talented one falls and is too good to pass up.

I think I see them taking a WR if it's there, but i would bet that fox would rather draft blue chip defensive talent and sign a patchwork of FA to address WR.

When Peppers leaves we'll only have about two spots open for defensive end IF we keep 5 DE's, we did last year but we didn't have a logjam of decent players at DT either. So two spots are open maximum, we can't afford to replace peppers with an 09 everette brown.

If we somehow got two 2nd round picks I would bet some pie that we would go after a LB.

The LB's we have right now are adequate but we don't really have a trio of playmakers. Everybody loves the glory days of rucker, buckner, jenkins, and peppers. I really remember witherspoon, morgan, and fields (all coached by mills) even more fondly.

I think we'll definately go primarilu for a WR but I won't be suprised if we get an OLB.

Just my wacky prediction.

what we really need is dmo55 to tell us whats going to happen...

he hasn't posted in a while I hope his restaurant is doing well. There aren't any miami prospects this year but I like that guy from penn state. He's had a few injuries and character issues but he's a good football player.

I wouldn't mind trading up into the late 2nd to grab him along with a WR like gilyard(sp?)

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
