I think Purdy is better than Bryce. How much better? I don't know. That's a real kick in the nuts when we're talking about Mr. Mortgage the Franchise to Trade Up to #1 vs. Mr. Irrelevant.

That’s another topic- it was a terrible trade from a value standpoint. But it’s a sunk cost, the question is can Bryce still develop into a formidable starting QB?

Honestly, I don't think so.

Put it this way, I think Purdy is better than Bryce and I think Purdy is only an asset on a cheap rookie contract. If you're forced to pay him like a legit franchise QB and then have to make the type of roster decisions you have to make to accommodate that type of salary cap impact, he becomes a liability.

      In order: QB -- starter and backup; Willis would be my target along with drafting a day 3 QB and keeping Bryce on the roster while letting all 3 battle it out in camp for each spot Better play caller/OC (Canales has to give up play calling duties) -- Bryce's limitations definitely hurt Dave but still just some mind boggling play calling decisions throughout the season that cost us games Pass rushers -- easily the worst pass rush of all playoff teams and one of the worst in the league ILB -- speaks for itself Offensive skill positions -- Of course I'd love a TE upgrade or legit WR2 and let Coker eat in the slot but I'd also be open to talent at RB; I doubt we keep Rico and Chuba was not good or worth his contract this year. We could use more offensive talent in general and whether it comes at WR, TE, or RB doesn't really matter to me. BPA at any of those positions.
