Peppers pretty much told us all to go fug ourselves.

I'm really at a loss on how Witherspoon wasn't replaced. You can argue Moose, but seriously. The FO has done a pretty good job.

You forgot jenks too.

Anderson was supposed to be the answer but he's more witherspoon lite. Landon johnson didn't play up to expectations. Connor was BPA and isn't athletic enough to play outside. Nail diggs is an excellent player and doesn't get enough credit, but still isn't a player of spoon's caliber.

Now that Davis is at WLB I guess he's the replacement, but it was such a long & clumsy transition.

He is a pure physical talent and is totally rare. But he lacks the technique and burning drive to be the best, which is a talent in itself.

One thing I think will really help is that the coaching staff can say with total confidence that they won't tolerate lack of effort or hustle. Peppers always got away with it due to being the golden boy.

I hope wherever he goes the coaches make him work his ass off, it'd be nice to see him mature and reach his potential.

That's how I see it...

“I am thankful for the eight seasons I have spent in the National Football League thus far and am looking forward to beginning this new phase of my career.”- Peppers

Jeez Pep couldn't you say eight seasons with the Panthers or I would like to thank all my loyal Panther fans? Nope just for 8 seasons in the NFL.

He is just following JRs mantra. The NFL is more important than the Panthers. Probably gave JR a woody.

I agree with the people who said we are stronger without him. Not because we are a stronger team, but now we do not have this enigma, who is supposedly our greatest ever player. We simply put too much expectation, via money and responsibility on him, when everyone knew he couldn't handle that.

We are now back to being a team, where there is not one superstar earning a fifth of the cap. Now the only people who are paid well are the ones who love the team and work their balls off throughout the season. People like Brayton will likely be re-signed at a minimal contract, just because he wants to be here. That is how you build a winning franchise, not be throwing all your eggs at a player who shirks responsibility. Our leaders on the team are all natural leaders, our team is unified through equality and wanting to be here.

I love Pep, think he is an amazing player, but it is not coincidence that his play has seriously diminished since he has become the 'vet' on the team. He is not and never will be that kind of player or person and if he can find a team that is littered with leaders and vets, then you will probably see a different animal.

We didn't really do too good a job at replacing moose, witherspoon, or jenkins. I'm a little iffy on what they're going to do.

They've handled the changing of the guard at O~line well and drafted LB well.

In fact we STILL haven't replaced moose or jenkins. Davis is kind of a replacement for spoon but he bounced around so much it took forever.

I think Thomas Davis has done a fantastic job replacing Spoon.

I heard from a pretty good source of mine that Pep wants to just feel out the market and see what kind of offer he can get, and that he'll bring his top offer back and give the Panthers a chance to match it.

Slj?
