Peppers is a Bear

I'll enjoy watching you fail in a bigger market with historic value and tradition!

They'll poo razorblades when you lock armpits with a tackle play after play with an occasional jump to bat down a pass and finish with 0 sacks, 0 tackles 1 assist for 6 games in a row.

The grass isn't always greener, and the money wasn't either, so go fug yourself Pep. Can't wait for your pause and stutter filled news conference!

From what I understand, Peppers had/has a strong desire to play for Lovie. I agree with what everyone has said here, and I'm not going to go total Bears homer and believe that he's going to suddenly start giving his all on every play. I don't want anyone to digest this as any kind of bash on the Panthers players or staff, but I can say with certainty that there are players on the Bears D that will not sit by quietly if Pep starts slacking. I know for certain that Urlacher has no problem whatsoever calling a teammate out in the huddle. Time will only tell how this plays out... I know that D Line pressure has been a serious weakness for us the past couple/few seasons, so this can only help

My homer sense didn't go off, good post, lol.

Beason tried to be that guy here, but that's where you're right about the staff/organization here... They put a muzzle on him.

In all honesty, he may start strong just to show everyone what he's capable of and being that he was the premier guy this year, he knows he'll have the spotlight on him early.

After that, I see him going back to the old Pep.

Wow, that's a little harsh....

....but I completely agree. Peppers wants a SB ring? Good luck with that in Chicago. I have a ton of family up north that loves the Bears, so I'm okay with them as a team. However, they won't be Superbowl ready for at least a couple years. Peppers will retire without a ring. Peppers, have fun, you traitorous, dishonest, disloyal, LYING asshat.

Oh, and I would love NOTHING more than Peppers to give his normal apathetic play and then have Urlacher call him out publicly on it. Oh my, that would give me such satisfaction.

Peppers was probably my favorite Panthers player of all time. But now, I'm obviously no longer a fan of his. No hard feelings, but I pull for the Panthers and Pep is not a Panther so his #90 jersey is officially retired in my closet never to be worn again.

See that's how it's done.

It's a throwback now.

    • Like many of the old heads, I’ve been here for a long time.  I got a lot of respect for everyone on this board for your dedication to this team.  We’ve all been through it during the tougher years. At this point in life, I’m not one to judge anyone’s level of dedication, or their reasons why anymore.  Time, and a lot of bad football, will do that.  For me, it’s simple.  We share a common bond.  For that, I love and appreciate all of you crazy SOB’s. For me, last season was at a minimum, entertaining.  BY lead a young team to multiple come from behind 4th qtr wins.  That showed me heart, and that he has the clutch gene.  That’s the wildcard intangible.  For me, that was fun to watch even  if it was mindbogglingly frustrating at times.  Over the past two seasons, we have progressively built a better team around him.  On paper, the defense should be better this season.  That’ll help.  Let’s see what he can do as the other guys continue to develop too.  Besides, his contract is cheap for a few more years, and we just made some smart cap decisions during the draft. Let’s see how it shakes out.
    • Hiring Shula & his Cam save us playbook.
    • I would very much liked to have seen Jake Delhomme's career if Tommy Jone no hurt Jake.  I just know that roster and the leadership were destined to hit paydirt but Jake was never the same after the elbow injury, and unfortunately he was the sole reason they didn't make it back to the big one.  I think that 08 team was the best in the league, and Jake masked his inability well all season til the Arizona game put it all on display.  I'll go back to the season prior even and say the 07 team was primed to be a competitor.  Jake was off to a fantastic start that year (for a Panthers QB).  They may have been a championship caliber club for a few seasons after 08 too.
