Recommended Posts

5. Wesley Walls-Prolific TE who was our stud during the Seifert years

4. Julius Peppers-Best draft pick in team history. Panthers all time sack leader

3. Muhsin Muhammad-Valued leader on and off the field. 10,000 yards, 60 TDs for his career.

2. Sam Mills-Inspiratonal leader of defense and community giant. Moral pulse of the franchise.

1. Steve Smith-Greatest talent/player to ever play for the franchise. Big play ability has brought wins & national notoriety to Charlotte, NC. Arguably the best at his position.

At any given time, the five guys in my signature pic :D

All time? that's tougher.

Sam Mills is an easy pick for me, as are Mike Minter and John Kasay. With each, it's as much about off-field character as it is on-field contribution.

Beyond those guys, there's a lot of guys I really like. Tough to narrow it down to just two more.

Why the hell are there people in here that have D'Will on their top 5 but not Smith? Where have you guys been the past 5 years?

1.Smith

2.Jake

3.Peppers

4.Kasay

5 Tie: Stephen Davis/Morgan (just for playing so hard for us with that many freaking concussions. Both really put their health and bodies on the line for our team)

D'Will, Beason and the new guys could end up there next year, but right now they are still un-seasoned. They are on the right path though. But they have to do it consistently, year after year.

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
