QB pressures/hurries from 2009

Profootball focus' stats might not be any more official but at least they are impartial. According to them:

JP had 10 sacks, 10 hits and 33 pressures on 446 pash rush attempts

TB had 5 sacks, 7 hits and 24 pressures on 381 pass rush attempts

CJ had 4 sacks, 2 hits and 21 pressures on 264 pass rush attempts

EB had 3 sacks, 7 hits and 13 pressures on 265 pass rush attempts

But more importantly the percentages:

JP had 2.24% sacks, 2.24% hits and 7.4% pressures for 11.88% total pressure (sum of percentages)

TB had 1.31% sacks, 1.84% hits and 6.3% pressures for 9.45% total pressure

CJ had 1.52% sacks, 0.76% hits and 7.95% pressures for 10.23% total pressure

EB had 1.13% sacks, 2.64% hits and 4.91% pressures for 8.68% total pressure

CJ may generate a lot of 'hurries' but EB gets to the quarterback a lot he just has to learn to bring them down.

I do trust Fox. Right now I don't trust Richardson to give Fox the tools he needs to win this year. But Hurney may show the doubters how good he actually is if he can rummage around in the bargain basement and the lower rounds of the draft and undrafted free agents to pull out a few rabbits from his hat and turn lemons into lemonade.

Hurney knows what he is doing the only thing that he has done so far that I disagreed with was signing Jake last year. But he usually fills in the spots we need with capable players.

Brown missed a few sacks by not being able to take the QB down. Hopefully he gets a little rocked up this offseason.

Yeah once he builds some more mass he will get the job done. Beason had the same problem his rookie year. He would get to the player but would get out muscled.

CJ and Brown are going to be nasty.

hell yeah, I cant stand seeing these wannabe fans thinking we r doomed cuz peppers left and that brown and johnson cant handle the load, if you add their stats along with brayton's, there were better stats on the opposite side of peppers, so was he really that good considering 3 other people split 1 posistion? NO I cant wait for Brown and johnson to put up solid numbers this yearand hopefully we will try to get Brayton back at some point

Lets hope this happens!
