Donovan McNabb

Lance Moore!

McNabb is good, but he's not an elite QB. There really are only two elite QBs in the league at the moment (well technically one this season). Rivers, Cutler and Ryan all have the potential to join that group though.

Ryan? Lets all remember Mr. Anderson from last year.

I would put him in the #3 of the last decade. But I wouldn't say he's elite. I agree with the assessment that only 2 have been elite (Manning and Brady). RIGHT NOW however, the elite is Manning, Brady if he comes back OK, and Brees. Followed by Rivers and McNabb. Brees, as much as I hate to say it, is amazing. When a QB makes unknowns look like pro-bowlers, that's when you know, just like Brady early on and when those guys left they were never as good anywhere else (Branch, anyone?).

Don't even bring up Ryan, he is a good leader and a good QB, but his numbers aren't that super, Cutler the same, he's inconsistent.

eh, rivers is good this year, but donovan has done it for a long time.

and yea, i know SDs receivers, they are under rated. vincent jackson and i remeber chris chambers because i had him on my fantasy team last year, when he was traded from the dolphins. i cant remeber who the #2 was before chambers got there though(im not counting Gates as a reciever), he probably sucked, or they wouldnt have brought in chambers mid season

Vincent Jackson had his first good year this year.

Chambers is good, not great.

The old number 2 was eric parker....out of the league.

Malcolm Floyd, Leggado Naanne, and Buster Davis are behind them.

03 was absolutely not mcnabbs fault.

Whether it was his fault or not, he gave up. In a championship game. Like I said, he's a good if not great quarterback. But if I'm putting a team together, I want someone who plays hardest when the pressure's on, and that ain't McNabb.

You need to overlook Peyton Manning as well. I have never seen so many one and dones in the playoffs as he and Dungy have had.

He took several hits in that game, and ended up with bruised ribs. Never broke one if what the org. said is true. Still, people have played with far worse. I don't hold that he lost that game by himself, the Panthers just demolished them defensively. However, he didn't do anything to help them win it, either.

..has been the best QB in the league since he was benched in Week 12 (he's won 5 of 6 since then). Its almost unbelievable to think people were calling him "finished" or said it was time for the Kevin Kolb era in Philly. During his last 4 games he completed 63% of his passes, threw for 886 yards, 9 TDs and 1 INT to give Philly a playoff birth when most left them for dead. Yesterday he put up 300 yards & a TD in a tough road game against Minnesota. I know Philly is a tough place to play, and Donovan has had some bad games, but he's has always seemed to be a magnet for criticism as a QB and leader. I think the job he's done the past few weeks has only added to his legend and helped solidify him as the 3rd best QB of this decade behind Manning & Brady.

Wasn't that the same McNabb that could only muster 3 points against an imploding Washington team.

When he is on....he is great. However, he is not consistent.

    • Cooter, Kurb, others have passed on to glory….  Praise be.
    • Oh good for them! Hope this is the start of a long happy time in their lives here.
    • There was no reason to believe in either Cam or Jake as a top tier elite QB before those seasons either. Cam was an "athletic" QB in most people's minds and his passing skills were open for debate. And there was a bit to that as he was still trying to get that massive power in his arm tamed to be able to put some touch on his passes. And then, he did it. Missiles became bombs, the firing lanes became points of finesse. Cam grew up and leveled up, while still retaining the ability and drive to truck people whenever he wanted. And Jake... no one freaking believed in Jake except Jake himself. He got, and let's be honest with this, one chance in a losing game to make something out of his career. And he rose to the occasion like some kind of mythical hero and continued to do so for the season. He became a true leader for the team, and his gunslinger capabilities rehabbed Moose's career and created Smitty as a force in the league. Smitty went from a barker to a biter. But no one believed in Jake going in. And they trashed him on his way out. Now Bryce... who knows? I've seen some improvement. Maybe he finds his footing. His teammates seem to love and respect him and that means a lot. The game should be moving at his speed now. He has weapons available to him and maybe a defense that doesn't just roll over by the third quarter. And his coach seems to be moving this team in the right direction. Could he do it? It's up to him, if he can find the magic like Jake and Cam did. But don't doubt this, magic is really, really hard to find.
