Teams recognize he’s a little raw but they like the skill set and everyone is looking for big receivers that can run. The Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers showed a great deal of interest in him at the combine. He’s had an on-campus visit from the New England Patriots and will make a visit to the Jets. He has private workouts upcoming with Cincinnati, Cleveland, Philadelphia and San Francisco

Really really like this kid. A walk on at UConn who earned his scholarship on the field in a primarily rushing offense. Raw but size, speed, strong hands and a willingness to block combine to be a solid 4th round prospect. Lots of sites have him as a 6th rounder but i don't think many teams will be able to sleep on his potential. I say we take him with our 4th or somehow acquire another 4th or a 5th so that we can swoop him up.

I like your thinking CrimsonGlidePanthers but don't like the players. Benn and Shipley are big names but neither are a speed threat. Also we don't have a 5th.

I know Shipley returned some kicks in college but in the NFL he likely won't look as good.

Give me Andre Roberts and Antonio Brown.

If we get a raw WR I'd rather it'd be him than Baybay.

He might be raw but Thomas (I can't stand that nickname) has probably the biggest upside out of any WR in this draft. He also could be the most productive as a rookie due to his athleticism and on our team will almost always be single covered. Classic boom/bust pick.

I think we are at a time when with one more playmaker at reciever our O could explode. I mean who are D coordinators going to gameplan to stop? The ground game with the beasts Stewart and Dwill or how bout Smith/Thomas/Barnidge and hopefully the baddest mofo of them all Matt Moore? Dangerous!

    • Smith-Wade for me. He has the path to some decent hefty snaps in Evero’s scheme. He held his own last year and improved as he continued to get snaps— If he makes some strides, could be a very capable nickel.  I agree with Sanders. Bryce had some trust in him that final Falcons game post crazy head-stand.  Bryce looked for him a lot that final game and made some critical catches to get us the W. Seems he’s put in major work so I’m hopeful about him.  Wallace will have an offseason under his belt. I like him a lot, was higher graded than most remember in his draft (I.e Brugler had him LB3/70 overall) but he isn’t as cerebral of an LB as we’re used to. I think he could thrive if we get D captain/film-junky type next to him— because right now that’s Jewell.  Still a bit cautious but love the talent. Rozeboom may snag some playing time from him if he’s still working out the kinks.
    • Didnt Canales already say starters are playing in the pre season? either way extra reps dont hurt but im not one of those people that think playing in the pre season would have saved Bryce from an awful start.
