The Official I hate Tyson Chandler thread

he should have been looking for the pass, but in that situation, Raymond Felton has to realize who he's passing to. Boris Diaw and Tyson Chandler are always on another planet mentally, so you don't want the ball in either of those hands late in game, imo.

Very good post, rep. Although I do agree Chandler is a dissapointment. Dont hate the guy, just wish he would stop fumbling passes in the paint.

I dont think there were any of us Bobcats fans that were real excited about the trade this offeseason. Chandler offers very little besides size. he has been a bust from day 1. But with that being said we are still gonna make the playoffs for the first time ever!! so its not all bad!

I consider him more of a wash than a bust. We took a chance on a salary we could dump when it became clear Emeka was not going to turn into the 20/10 or 20/20 a night guy we needed him to be. We traded one bad contract with a player that was solid but was never going to reach his potential for shorter bad contract with a more athletic player that is never going to reach his potential.

Pretty much this all the way. His suck wouldn't be so obvious if Nazr could get healthy.

But that was a bad decision by Raymond. He's gotta try to go up, even draw the foul, something. Even thinking about looking at Tyson for the bucket with the game on the line is borderline insanity.

I'd still do the trade again.

Chandler may not be very good, but Okafor wasn't great either.

Plus we gave Okafor one of the dumbest contracts ever.

Rep to Okafor's agent.

Plus it ended up saving us a huge amount of money in future years, probably so we could resign Felton.

I agree that the move made sense long term. Okafor was solid, but still better than Chandler.

We were willing to sacrifice short-term to have the flexibility long-term.

    • I wouldn't mind a deal that would add Rust or Rakell from the Pens. Move Jarvy to 2C, send KK and a prospect to Pittsbhrgh. Pittsburgh is taking calls for both. And both of them have played very well against Carolina.
    • I liked James on a personal level. I still do. But he had his flaws too and what's done is done. Charles Lee will get this season to showcase what he's building. If he and the team look like poo he should be on a very hot seat. But I don’t expect that to happen. I could be wrong. But I'd rather not be in this instance. Regardless. At some point we're going to be lucky to hire anyone worth a damn if we keep firing coaches. It's not something any of us should want to see because it's only going to mean yet another reset. Best case scenario is Lee with this infusion of youth establishes a refreshing culture change. We'll see.
    • This is preseason fluff, I know he has Buffalo 28 and they might not be are studded but they will perform over expected which can easily happen to the panthers. This is the “name game/franchise name”. I would put us against Green Bay in terms of talent but Green Bay is gonna get the benefit of the doubt
