Is there a WR in the 2nd that is better than Brandon Marshall?

Washington could trade Haynesworth

who they don't want in their 3-4 to Bronco's .

For B Marshall

Bronco's and Marshall are both ready to move on

Shanny still knows people in Denver that could get this done .

Mc Nabb would have a WR to throw to

Yea but the only problem with this situation is the Broncos aren't willing to pay Marshall what he wants, wth makes you think they'd want to pay Haynesworth what he's owed

he isn't owed anything near 48 millions in the next 4 years.. so it is possible.

Do you think he'd be a good fit on that D? His work ethic is similar to Peppers, and he only played elite when his contract was on the line. You also stated that you wanted him on our team, Why? He's a dirty player and our FO doesn't sign guys like him. I mean he intentionally stomped on a guys head with his helmet off. He should've been banned for that.

2nd Round WR Panther Draft Picks: Dwayne Jarrett, Keary Colbert......yep lets try to get Marshall for our 2nd rounder please(as long as Smith says he likes him fine and would play with him?).

Didn't Marshall break a record last year for catches in a game, with Kyle Orton throwing to him? If this happens, think of how lucky Matt Moore is. Our running game plus Smitty and B.Marshall? He should have great season then get fat contract out of it.

Yes, he f**ked up in the past.. for the price we could have him for the talent he could bring, I'd say it's worth the chance... With our strongest leaders on the team being on defense, I'd say, again, I'd take the chance with Beason and Harris at the helm to hopefully point him in the right direction..

I wouldn't expect everyone to agree with this.. To me, we need a strong DT more than anything on the DLine and I would like this guy on our team. You can't stay completely passive in the NFL as the Panthers wish they could be and still expect to go deep in the playoffs. There are risks you must take. This is a risk I'd be more than willing to see happen.

Every team has had to take a calculated risk... Even the mighty Patriots with Moss..

aside from all mentioned, we can't turn our noses up at every player that does something wrong in the past. He hasn't stepped on anyones head as of the last 3 or 4 years. :) Since Smitty is a repeat offender, I guess we need him gone then....

I love it, I'd make the trade for him for this years second and next years 2nd if that's whats needed.

I just kinda glanced through the thread, but I didn't see anyone mention what smith said in his interview...He doesn't want to be the #1 guy anymore, he wants someone to take that from him.. I don't think Smith would be upset about this any at all and from the way he's been talking he doesn't want this to be his team (him being the #1 receiving threat).

I don't see anything wrong with it at all, all great WR are headcases...

If we could get him extended, I'd defintely do it. Theres been plenty said about his character and how it probably wouldn't be an issue here.
I dont see why we couldnt extend him, our payroll is one of the cheapest in the league right now. sure, we may not be able to re-sign someone else, but we have far more success drafting and developing LB's, RB's, and O-lineman (which would be the group that could get hurt on the re-signings) instead of WR's.

we can trade whoever we couldnt re-sign and draft a replacement since we seem to have a good eye for talent at those positions. lets face it, WR development has been a huge problem for this team in the fox era. developing and or finding other positions hasnt been as bad. so why not go with the sure thing and pick up marshall?

The point isn't whether Marshall is better than most every second pick so much as is Marshall a better option for a trade given his baggage and likely high cost versus picking a second rounder with no baggage plus a minimal cost for the next 5 years under a rookie contract. Most teams would rather take a flyer on the second rounder with no baggage than on Marshall. If teams don't get what they want in the draft, you might see some reconsider Marshall as a suddenly better option.

Marshall hasn't had a real issue in 2 years..

Marshall was a huge team player this past year when he put aside his issue with the coach and went to work.. Just like Bolden.

Marshall also said he needs to smarten up off the field...

If Fox really wants to be successful, at least make a huge effort to get him.. he is our kind of guy. he wants to win.
