Im 22 and it feels like I was 17 yesterday. All the freshmen I went to high school with have graduated and are well into college. My 19 yr old brother is married. I have served 5 yrs in the Army and I am on my third deployment. I have a son on the way July 6th. WTF happened???

I can hear Bob Dylan singing that the times, they are a changin.

I'm 26 but I'm just starting to feel the change... I guess certain life events will make things change faster in life. Army, Marriage, Kids will make you grow up/man up fast and your life change quickly...

I just completed my Masters recently and I am getting ready to enter the job market now. I have a GF that I am now living with and will be serious soon, and I have no kids... So far me I am feeling the change later in life than yourself.

You guys are feeling it a lot faster than I ever did. I was still hitting the clubs, drinking it up and was fully content with my life as a single guy up until I met my wife when I was 32. And even then it didn't hit me. I'll tell you when it did though. The day my son was born. That's the moment I realized everything from here on out was going to be different. It changed me for the better and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm 40 now and about to turn 41 and it seems to pass faster and faster with each year. So live it up and enjoy your youth. It only comes around once.

Let me just say that it changes faster and faster as you age... I'm certainly not the oldest on this board, but older than most of you young punks. Weeks now go by like days used to when I was in school. Hell, my oldest kid starts high school next year... that really makes me feel old.

About a year ago when I realized I was starting to lose my hair.

About 5 months ago when I found out my wife was pregnant.

About a month ago when I found out we were having a girl and I'd have to spend the rest of my life protecting her from sickos like cardiackat88. ;)

About a week ago when I realized that I didn't really like much new music anymore.

dang, and youre only 25. why did you go and waste so many years, your best years? I tell every young punk, do not get married before 30. You live with the folks for years, then a lot of people go to school for 4 or mnore years, then you get out and get a job. About the time you start making some decent money, you go out and get married.

well...not to one up you...but my oldest daughter is finishing her first year University and will be moving out of the house in the next couple of months....I'll be celebrating my 25th high school reunion soon...and my joints all hurt when I get up in the morning for no reason at all. As biscuit said....times goes by fast...and faster as you age!

all that said, I still typically have the mentality of a 13 year old
