The NFL told Upper Deck to piss off no more UD football cards for you. :(

people still make sports cards? i thought people stopped caring about that in the '90s. i'm surprised there is still a market for it with all the more entertaining modern day distractions. if people want a picture of an athlete, or his stats, they can just download them online.

i had more marvel comic cards than sports cards when i was a kid anyway. they were more shiny and action packed. very distracting for a kid!

I'm not crying. Upper Decks quality control and customer service suck anyway. This years exquisite is a sorry excuse for a high end product. The cards are damaged and some of them have the wrong teams patch in them. That's inexcusable. Upper Deck can go out of business for all I care. I like Panini better anyway. I just wish Topps would get their license back.

I agree with most but SP Authentic is the greatest set ever made and too loose that is just sickening. Ultimate/SP/Exquisite is the core foundation of most collectors and Hobby shops will be hurt...If you loose UD then you should allow Topps to have football back but they suck at the high end department anyway. Hopefully this will wake up Upper Deck and in 2011 come back strong.

Exquisite always have complaints about chipping due to the heavy thick card stock.

I love collecting cards, but I needed money and sold my two best for almost a grand. I do believe it was topps though, it was a 80s rookie joe montana and a rookie ken griffey baseball card. I still have a few worth a bit I have a real young one of p manning and some nolan ryans.

f**k I wish I had those back! Where do you buy your cards jason? (where do you find best selection/condition?)

This is exactly the reason collecting cards is so fun, and more valuable.

Cards are in no way to have a picture of an athlete or see their stats. They are collected for the same reason any other item is, there are rarity that are fun to find and own. Yes these can be worth money but to a collector they are priceless,(unless your car needs to get fixed or you'll lose a job) esp if they are one of their fav players; my ryans are worth more but I love him, watched him a kid growing up in texas. :)

I mostly get them from Ebay or I rummage through the big box of auto cards at the hobby shop in North Charleston and my final place is trading or buying at Sports Card Forums

    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
    • I'd think we could get one of those from Dallas for... whatever.
