Oh they would definitely be interested in Sanders(and reportedly are). Deion has nothing to do with it.

What veteran? Russell Wilson maybe? I don't think there is much beyond him, if he is even available.

You don't get Shedeur without getting Deion.

It might not be in an official capacity, but you can all buy guarantee his involvement.

Veteran? Maybe they pry Cousins away from Atlanta.

I don't believe in this Shedeur/Deion attached at the hip nonsense. It has always been nonsense.

Cousins?? I mean....is that something that would attract an offensive minded coach? A very clearly washed up QB?

And this is why I think Johnson will not have interest in LV. The lack of QB makes any offensive genius struggle. Ask Daboll.

I still believe this is Chicago or staying in Detroit for Johnson.

I wouldn't consider staying in Detroit a bad option.

Wasn't Goff washed up too?

On Sanders, we'll see.

The Bears is the only job that would be attractive to me if I was Johnson. Way more talent than Las Vegas and they actually have a good young QB versus the Raiders who have the worst QB roster in the NFL.

I guess it comes down to his opinion of Williams and maybe Ward and/or Sanders in the draft and what Vegas is committed to doing. With NE sitting at #1 and not needing a QB that pick could probably be had. They'll want to replicate the Bryce trade if they move. Can't see that happening but NE has a ton of holes and they should probably entertain moving down if there's a market for the pick.

Goff was not remotely washed up. He was just a guy that couldn't get over the hump. Also, that is a terrible comp. Goff was a 26 year old that got traded for Matt Stafford(was an elite QB).

Cousins will be 37 years old on opening day of 2025 and has looked like he is one the decline. At the bare minimum, he has very limited useful life left as an NFL starter.

That is a terrible option for a young HC.

Isn't Tennessee at #1? 🤔

New England is #4. Those guys will be gone by 4.

Oh yeah, I forgot that Mayo got himself poo canned for blowing that. LOL

I don't really see why that would matter for them. They have a QB they like and they would be drafting one of the best two non-QB's at 4. That's one of the least impactful moving from 1 to 4 scenarios I can imagine in recent memory.

That clip basically states it was Tom Brady full court press to even accept the interview. That isn't a glowing review of the job.

Johnson is reportedly listening though. Some have called him their leading candidate.

Also, having an executive who played till 40 tells me they wouldn't necessarily ball at an older quarterback.

    • Damn I liked A'Shawn too. This is basically a heads up we're planning on cutting you move.  Robinson wasn't the best but I loved his attitude and effort on the field. He held that entire dline together when Brown went down iirc..granted we finished that season as the worst rushing defense in modern NFL history.  If Wharton would have performed up to atleast half of his salary last season, I'd feel a little better about it. We do need that cap space though.
    • 13. Carolina is coming. The Panthers are well thought of around the league. Their "process" seems sound. I think their off-season will be very interesting to keep an eye on. They made the playoffs, but they're not yet knocking on the door. (Offense was 26th in EPA/play.) I think it's imperative they don't overestimate where they are in their build. They can't throw a ton of money around in FA to "make a run now". They need to be intentional about building a solid foundation. (IMO) And from what I know about the team... I think they will be. Sidenote: I have my eye on offense there, not defense. They HAVE to leave next season with a strong opinion on Bryce Young. They need to put pieces around him to do that. Can't be left wondering what he would have looked like with "better OL play" or "more pass catchers". They have to know. (That part is purely my opinion. No one told me that.) https://x.com/lindsay_rhodes/status/2027212533417869499?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
    • Because this DL is completely reliant on Brown being available and being a stud. Without him we were the worst D in history. The Wharton signing last year reeked of desperation. He just isn't a great fit for us schematically and I think we panicked a little bit when we missed out on Milton Williams who would have been a great fit.
