I've been saying we'll win at least 8 games, more likely 10+. This is Darin's response from todays chat

How many games do you realistically see the Panthers winning this year? Friday April 23, 2010 12:45 Zcustom

12:45 Darin Gantt: I could see 8-9 easily. schedule, plus OL, plus RBs = floor on how bad they'll be.

What did he predict last year? 8-8 or 11-5 or something else. I am not sure agreement by him is any guarantee that either of you will be close. Plus it is still April and we haven't picked anyone in the draft. Get back with me in 6 weeks.

I agree. We will win 8-12 games this year. Everyone who is freaking out needs to calm down. We lost very little from our team and our base is still there. People say we don't have a passing game now, but Delhomme negated anything we had last year. This team will be fine.

we had a top 10 defense last year......now the entire front 4 has been reworked w/ a bunch unproven starters on a team whose coach relies on the front 4......plenty of things suggest things might be more bumpy than fine. A weaker front 4 makes everyone from Beason to Gamble worse.

    • I wonder if the Hornets view Kon and McNeeley more as forwards and plan to ship off Green/Okogie/Smith for center help. I hope they don’t plan to ship off Sexton as I like what he brings to the team. (2) G - Ball, Mann, Simpson (two-way) (3) G - Sexton, Dinwiddie, Connaughton (3) F - Miller, Knueppel, McNeeley, James (two-way) (3) F - Bridges, Williams, Salaun (3) C - Diabate, Kalkbrenner, Plumlee
    • 3 main reasons he was better in 2023 and none of them concern me for his NFL prospects 1. Totally new coaching staff that was a massive downgrade and had god awful play calling and designs, the entire fan base was ready to run the coaching staff out of town a month into their first season and the play caller ended up getting changed because it was so bad. 2. Along with the staff downgrade, his QB played significantly worse after being the Pac 12 Freshman of the Year in 2023.  Constantly missed T-Mac when he was wide open, lost out on a number of TDs and a good amount of yardage, half the time T-Mac still almost made miraculous catches on the bad passes too. 3. He hurt his ankle over the summer and missed all of fall camp only to return to practice a few days before the season started and I think he had to deal with it all season long and was slightly limping at times mid season too, but kept fighting through it to still be a 1st team All American.
    • Good luck to Burns. He’s fine as a third pairing defensemen but Rod is too stubborn to do that.
