Great for basic transportation.

I'm sure you can take another $1000 off that price - probably more.

Just a quick glance on usaa.com, I found a dealer near the same zip code - Rick Case Hyundai Roswell with the same car for $10,998. 44k miles.

Keep in mind it has a 5 year 60,000 mile basic warranty. The warranty includes roadside assistance for 5 years, regardless of mileage.

It is basic transportation. Nothing more. Hyundai has come a long way since the late 80s.

I wouldn't drive one. But that is from personal tastes, not because of a lack of quality. Its not made with sound deadening equipment in mind. It is made to be a basic, reliable vehicle.

My hubby is a wholesaler and used to be a gm for Hyundai a few years ago. For the past few months, he's been driving a 1999 Hyundai wagon even though he for sure has nicer cars on the lot. Has 114k miles, air blows cold. Only thing that's been done to it is new tires and a belt. I hate it cause it's ugly as sin, but the damn thing's still running fine. He brought home a 2001 Tiburon for my son last week. If not for the insurance being so high on it for a 16 year old, we'd have bought it. Nothing wrong with it other than cosmetic.

I have no problem with Hyundai at all. They've come a long way.

    • Brandt's comment about Wharton was from his KC perspective when Wharton was a UDFA rookie.   "it goes back to the anecdote that Brandt Tillis had when he was in Kansas City. And it would be so easy to just cut Turk Wharton in 2020 when he was an undrafted rookie from a division two college in Missouri. It would been so easy to cut him because then he would have cleared waivers easily. No one knew this guy. They didn't have any joint practices, didn't have a preseason. Would have been so easy to cut him and bring him back on the practice squad and let him continue to build from there. And Brandt essentially said, "No, he's got to make the 53man roster if we're going to have any sort sense of credibility with this team."
    • Plenty of us were scratching our heads about that signing at the time. Especially with our 3-4 defense. Wharton is kind of a one trick pony situational five tech DT. He doesn't have the beef to hold up against the run and he doesn't have the juice to shift outside. He's basically a situational pass rusher DT. If we paid him $40M+ and he can't start for a historically inept defense then holy poo...
    • Agreed.  300 and 2 or 3 total in Jacksonville in a winning effort would sure be a nice start.
