I am seriously thinking about taking a month off work and parking an RV down at Wofford. This is going to be one of the best training camps in Fox's tenure.

Somebody start a countdown clock. I can't wait.

seriously though, it should be one of the most interesting.. and that's including the post '05 season and '06 was supposed to bring a badass defense and the '08 season both before and after... not to mention '04 when we actually made it to the Superbowl the year before and had high hopes it we could make it again..

the difference being.. we were coming off winning years and found the next to be sub-par... where we are coming off a "losing season" (forget the technicality) and have an easy schedule..

Major interests for me sit at WR (Goodson step it up in the slot? LaFell NFL ready? and damn, I hope Edwards catches up quick, he can be a real threat) and QB (don't really need to expand on this)..

our DT situation.. Leonard and Teh Tank as good as we hope?

who exactly fits in at CB and FS...

we need some answers at DE.. Johnson and Brayton? Brown jumping ahead in his sophomore year? how good are our rookies?

Fiammetta able to step up and stay healthy? Ty Sutton win that 3rd back slot? too small to be a serious prospect at FB for more than 1 game?

Vincent gone.. Robinson steppin it up? pass protection legit?

of course, we have the Anderson and Conner battle..

      There are a couple of options. One is just to not accept your commission and just pay back the Academy for your education. Alot of money for normal folk, but if you're drafted high enough it's a drop in the bucket. You'll need a waiver not to go in enlisted, but normally drafted players get waivers to join the reserves instead of active duty military. Showing that you can actually go to the NFL from a military academy is much better for recruitment than having one more officer on a ship/sub/aircraft. Things were different in the Staubach and David Robinson days. I remember Mike Wahle just paying back the Academy after getting kicked out for steroids after his junior year. Not a big deal when you're drafted in the 2nd round.

      Whoever you get has to be able to shoot a 3 for spacing purposes, especially if you want to replace Miles at 4 with Moose and run a different center.    I like the Miles for Giannis trade idea but where do you put him? At center?    Can you imagine a double screen and roll/slip with with Lamelo, Giannis and Kon... 👀   If you do that trade you need another free agent / draft pick to play at 4 that can stretch the floor otherwise I don't think it works.
