Just saw on NFLN. He said the Panther's Organization personally told him that Matt Moore IS the starter and that during the season it's pretty much his job (to lose). :co:

That's what I thought. Fox wouldn't cut the legs out from his players like that. Plus the fact that Fox called Moore both times after drafting Clausen and Pike, tells me that he was reassuring Matt's place as #1.

Yeah, they're all saying he's very capable of starting immediately. Could be huge for the Panthers. TC should be very interesting to say the least. I'm still a Moore fan until he screws the pooch. He's just too damned mobile and I love that because we've never had a mobile QB.

i saw him say that on one of the videos on nfl.com. i don't know how much stock i put in it. fox and co. are not the type to decide pre-camp who starts. they've never said that in an interview, and they've been asked the question. why would they tell casserly that? makes no sense. i think he's either remembering wrong, or exaggerating.

Yeah, I know everyone is excited to see our future-star QB get on the field, but it would probably be best for him to sit at least a season. Moore is certainly capable of taking us to the play-offs.

it's been my point the whole time. right now moore is number 1 on the depth chart and will stay there as long as his play dictactes it. clausen will challenge him which is good for both long term but fox is not going to just hand him the job from day 1, it's just not his style if you have watched him over the years. dehlomme's situation was totally different, for the many faults he had he did win alot of games which is why fox trusted him so much. fox only cares about one stat and that's wins and loses
