Assault rifle permit

What are you considering to be an "assault rifle"? If its an AR-15, a modified (semi-auto) AK-47, a SKS, or anything semi-auto, then all you have to do is go to the store and buy it. If you want something fully auto, it can be done but its more than just a little tougher and a lot more expensive.

I'm talking about fully automatic rifle. I believe the ban on it has expired few years ago.

No, it didn't. The Clinton assault weapons ban only banned firearms that "looked" like assault rifles i.e, had larger magazines, pistol grips, folding stocks, etc. Everything banned was a semi-automatic weapon. Fully automatic weapons have been banned since the 30's.

Full auto's were never banned. It's going to depend on the county you are in. You have to go to the Sheriff's office and get an endorsement from him first. That could be a problem if the sitting Sheriff is anti gun what so ever. Once you have that, pay the tax man and go get a class 3!

ohh thats a class 3 item they stopped allowing people to register them back in 80s so there for there not many full autos left and they can cost from 4,000 to 100,000's. But you have to do extra paper work along with a 200 tax, you need to have your local sheriff sign off on it, you need to have ATF come to your house once a year to see that you have it stored in a save and blah blah... I know this cuz my dad owns a gun shop and we have a few full autos, if you live near the triad you should check the place out... http://www.carolinagun.com/

such a ripoff... Where I'm originally from you can get a brand new AK47, full auto, for no more than $1,000

Well, I can buy a semi-auto AK for around $300, so more than three times the price for what essentially is very little work done to the rifle is a lot more expensive.

Where are you from originally?

    • Yeah. As a wild card team. Washington won the division at 10-6.
    • no doubt but flip that.   The current system insures that there are "regional" games in the early weeks. maximizing the reach of playoff football.  If all of the WC weekend for a conference took place on the west coast they are reducing the "reach" of their hype machine.
    • Hard to say with London--he never ran--combine or pro day.  Here is what AI says, and it is always 100% accurate: Drake London's 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine was not recorded because he was dealing with a fractured ankle at the time. While he didn't participate in the 40 at the Combine or his pro day, his coach said his 40 time was estimated to be between 4.4 and 4.53 seconds. Some sources also list his 40 time at 4.58 and 4.6 seconds Unless you are running 9s all day, top end 40 speed is rarely reached.  I have always looked at the 3-cone drill.  At his pro day, TMac ran a 6.86--pretty good, actually.  For context, it is faster that Rome Odunze (6.88) who ran a 4.45 40.  Odunze is 6'3" and weighs 216, fwiw, and is considered a very good route runner with no wasted motion.  Mike Evans 3-cone was 7.08.  To put it in a broader context, through 2022, with all NFL prospect 3-cone drills combined, a 6.86 puts TMac in the.89th percentile-  Now consider the fact that he is 6'4" and 220.   We might have something here.  '
