Have you experienced anything unexplainable/supernatural?

I'd like to see a statistical analysis of those that believe in the supernatural (specifically spirits/ghosts) compared to those that believe in God and see the correlations.

I'd also like to add that the two seem mutually exclusive to me.

Another addition...I'd LOVE to see conclusive proof of this stuff. Really. I WANT to believe in something more than what I see, touch, hear, and more importantly what can be explained scientifically.

It just seems that aint gonna happen.

Yup, me too, I'd love to see proof. A long time ago, I think it was pstall who mentioned a house in charlotte that was "for real" haunted and we talked about going there and spending the night, me with a fifth of bourbon. I guess we got skeered. :cool:

Met this woman last Sunday and told her I wanted to go see Paranormal Activity 2. She tells me her real brush with the supernatural. She was staying at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville. During the night, she felt someone sitting on her bed. Then that person moved, then they moved one more time. She finally got the courage to turn over and look, and no one was there. She mentioned it the next day and they told her it was Mrs. So and So (can't remember the name), but guests have been seeing her ghost for years there.

That was Mrs. Martinez, the hermaphrodite housekeeper...

I have a supernatural one that will blow you guys away;

When I was in Central America doing nefarious things in the name of democracy I saw a real life zombie type thing that to this day I nor any of my teammates can explain. What happened was that the FMLA had snatched a village leader from one of the ‘vils in our AO. They knew we were active in the area and apparently tortured him to death in an attempt to get intel on us. This particular elder had no knowledge we were there so he held out until he died.

They (FMLA) dumped his body on one of the trails and we were called to investigate. Our medic checked him out and confirmed he was not alive. But, one of the Brujas (witch doctor, for lack of a better term) said he could do something to save him. I felt the body and it was cold but hey, who knows.

They planned a “resurrection ceremony” for that night and we were invited to attend but our orders were to find the bad guys and exact some fierce revenge. This elder was supposed to play a major role in getting support for our activities and the spooks were ticked off. We had free reign.

When we got back to the ‘vil the next morning, there he was, alive talking and eating breakfast. Holy crap! I felt the biggest chill run down my back and I have to admit, I was legitimately scared. I was raised catholic but I know this dude wasn’t the bible guy. I shook his hand and it was warm. When we asked what went on, we were told that these things are possible and he was not a zombie. In fact as time went on, we got to know him and he told us that he felt fine. He said it was like his spirit went to the jungle and waited to see if the people loved him enough to bring him back. He also said that the jungle takes care of those who believe and he would “follow” us on some of the ops we would do. He would even give us feedback on how we could use the jungle to our advantage.

Apparently since we were helping the “people” the jungle protected us.

I have another story about that…

Someday I'd really like to buy you a beer or three and discuss.

That wasn't a come-on btw.:D

    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
    • At least we don't need to hear overreacting about towels ...
    • Actually there is, try being a Charlotte Hornets fan. I mean the team fuging moved at its peak and hasn't recovered since and that was 25 years ago
