ahem... wrong football guys.

it really bothers me how nobody in the U.S. gives a damn about soccer, then the world cup rolls around and suddenly everyone loves watching it. lets face it, all the soccer style sports (putting a ball into a goal guarded by a goalie with an odd instrument e.g. soccer, lacrosse and even hockey) just cannot match the intensity and suspense of basketball, football and baseball.

Yer only right about the football being more interesting than soccer,at least for me!

The only good thing this ref did was giving Findley a yellow card. That will force Bradley to sit him in the Algeria match. Findley has no business being on this team, much less the starting lineup.

You guys are missing one more possible scnerio. Even if england wins today. And then ties solvenia. We can still advance. If that happens. The us england and solvenia would all have 5 points. So we would have to beat algeria by 2 goals. Giving us a bette goal diffrential (first tiebreaker after head to head) than solvenia. So reguardless of the other outcomes right now we do in fact control our own destiny!!!!

Yeah i knew there would be a 3 way tie. I think it would also depend on how many goals ENG scores today and how "big" of a tie it was. 4-4 is different that 0-0. Err...I think

How does soccer involve putting a ball into a goal guarded by a goalie with an odd instrument? What instrument are you referring to?

Also, I wouldn't exactly refer to Baseball as an intense sport. There's nothing like watching six hours of overweight men strike out and swing at air and then roll around from corner to corner of a square.

I will agree, however, that a 0-0 game of Soccer can be extremely boring.
