Huddle Time Machine

Imagine if the Huddle had a time machine. Let's set it for....January 2000. What were you doing at that time?

I was living in Daytona Beach, working for nascar.com, right before they moved me up to Charlotte to be closer to the teams. Had no dating life...I was on the road like 30 weekends out of the year. But man, that was a fun time. Got to see almost every city in the country doing that job.

nah, lets just change it for you, January 1980...........:P

I was listening to albums on my record player. All my albums came from that Clearinghouse deal where you could get 10 albums for one penny as long as you bought their selected album of the month every month (or turned in your refusal, which everyone forgot to do). I had Greatest Hits albums of every group from the 70s. And the first two Cars albums. Remember those Nikes that Forrest Gump wore, with the red swoosh on a white shoe and light blue trim on the bottom? Those were my school's colors and everyone had a pair.

    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
