Lot's of things to be proud of

You guys should hold your chin up and be proud of your accomplishments thisyear. I know you are feeling dissapointment, but there is some bright spots this year, many actually.

Yes, I am a cards fan, but it doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy watching your team play this year. Some of you came to our forums, but the majority conducted themselves with class, and for that I am grateful.

All is not lost, and with some adjustments you will be back bigger and better next year. As a cards fan I am too well versed in what you all are feeling now, but your team had a great season. Only 8 teams got that chance to play the game in January. Be proud, and keep that head up!

Nope, we're not the Lions or Bengals franchises and we've come to a point that moral victories are meaningless. This is a winning franchise and anything short of a Lombardi Trophy is a failure now.

That being said, I'm rooting for you guys next week. I had a hard time getting myself up for you guys this week because of how inept the Cards franchise has been historically. If we can't win the Super Bowl this year, I hope you can.

I swear, we all take this stuff way too seriously.

I'm disappointed, but it seems like some people are genuinely, clinically, depressed (fan of any team).

Not just you, it is something that all of us football fans share regardless of who we root for.

You guys are classy though (majority) and that speaks volumes about your team as well. Your team also never quit (last td) regardless of how it came out.

Thanks to those of you who are wishing use well. Who knows, next year the shoe may be on the other foot, which is what makes footballsuch a great sport.

Well, some of the guys here are putting the Cards down as not being a good team.

I see the potential, and I realize that you guys have a chance.

Some always blame their own team for mistakes and never acknowledge another team's strengths.

Good luck; I think the Cards will put up a fight. If it's the Giants, I really, really hope the Cards win. I really dislike the Giants this season for some reason (not even because they beat the Panthers a few weeks ago).

Now... the Eagles and the Cards... I'd like to see that.

P.S. Sweet, I didn't know we had one of these. My truck! -> :Chevy_anim:

I disagree with the assertion that we've got room to improve. Unless we get lucky off a QB draft pick (who wouldn't be started ahead of Delhomme, anyway), we're not getting any better. This franchise will rot as long as Fox is calling the shots, unless our talent is able to counter abyssmal coaching (which is unlikely).

I'd unfortantly have to agree with what you said, because at this point I want jake gone along with fox and turgo. take lucas with them as well.

You have the room to improve (like all of our teams do) it is just up to the organization to make it happen.

Sometimes your improvements come from the person you least expect, and the rest follow.

Of all the teams out there we know how it feels to see the obvious improvements needed, and not have them addressed, but it doesn't wane the support for your team.

Our teams are all special to us, and I hope you keep the pride for your cats! A different week and it all may have been different. Bad games happen, and this game did NOT define your organization. Look at our game against the Jet's :X

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
