Laptop crashed

So yesterday morning I go to wake my computer up and it freezes, hold power and it shuts down. Go to start back up and get blue screen of death, hold down power and it shuts down. Go to start back up in safe mode and it never boots. Instead it holds with all keyboard lights on, with the scroll lock and caps lock flashing.

I have Windows One Care Live, so virus-spyware is up to date, any ideas out there?

Well, duh. What laptop? What OS? Were you on battery? What was the last thing you did? Did you leave it running anything? Etc, etc.

Gods we're not. Although some here come pretty close. Not me.

Yeah, we need more information. Its sounds like a hardware failure to me.

Buy a Mac.

I've seen Macs have just as many problems.

Well excuse the f*ck out of me. Its an HP pavillion, Windows XP, it was on ac power, it was asleep like I said, and it will not boot at all.

It lights up the keyboard and the caps/scroll lights flash. I can't get it fixed anytime soon i'm currently deployed, just wanted to know if anyone had an idea.

So it won't boot at all now?

I am betting your HDD is screwed. If you can get the blue screen to come back up let me know.

In linux when your caps lock is blinking on boot it means you got a kernel panic, which is probably what this is (especially with the blue screen).

id try reinstalling, if that dont work its a hardware failure.

    • I had everything saved on an old email address and my computer crashed and could not be revived.  I tried reviving it, then stumbled on one I was going to create several years ago...So I am using it instead.  My fault--did not keep the email and forgot password--
    • Rasheed Walker for Kris Jenkins Jr.is what i am actually referring to in that particular post  all those #'s you are referring to are athletic #'s & Monroe Freeling had or has an impressive combination of size & raw athletiscm & it has nothing do with his size or athelticsm that is preventing him from being a day 1 starter in the NFL technique is where he struggled at the NFL combine & not only scouts but analysts alike also viewed him as more of a developmental type of player rather than a day 1 starter  go take a look at Will Campbell transition from the SEC to the NFL another first round LT that was drafted #4 overall by the New England Patriot,s.Will Campbell was a three year starter at  LSU & was thought to be one of if not the very best LT's in the SEC  & compare his SEC carrer to his rookie season in the NFL? just because you played good in the SEC at LT does nescarrily mean you are ready to start at LT in the NFL day 1 & or your rookie season  & one last thing i think you are jumping to conclusion & somehow assuming that i do not like Monroe Freeling ?which could not be further from the truth .what i do not like is the idea starting a player who is not ready ...just saying
