I would like to see us do something that special again one day. Sad we as a nation have let the time go bye without going further then the moon for maned Space exploration.

I read an article not too long ago. It said that America couldn't afford to build a Saturn 5 rocket (top to bottom) today.

A Furbie, a child's toy that was popular several years ago, had more computing power than the Lunar Lander!

We do amazing thngs all the time. They are just not as visually and viscerally cool as that.

The great thing about Apollo is that it was the first time the entire planet got to share, in real time, something completely new with the discoverers themselves via TV. That made it a lot more special.

I would love to see this stuff happen again, but really, what would be cool is to get the solar power stations built out at the LaGrange points, slingshotting lunar material into the L5 orbits for processing into a colony, the space elevator, all the long term stuff. Even with all the water that's been found on the moon, it's a dead rock with a gravity hole.

I remember watching that on TV...we went to Kennedy Space Center in 1972 and went inside the assembly building, saw a Saturn V in about 3 pieces. Gigantic. Very cool, and can't get within 1000 yards of that place today.

There is however, a great Saturn V museum with a flight ready vehicle (well it looks ready!) on it's side, with the old Mission control and some other great vehicles nearby and worth a trip to see.

Once the Space Shuttle is retired and they get rid of the solid fuel stores maybe they will allow VAB tours again.

been to Johnson Space Center in Houston and the Museum of Flight in Seattle...they both have some awesome displays! Was neat sitting in the old control center at Johnson...and the day we were there the shuttle was in the process of docking to the space station and we watched it live on the monitors. In Seattle, you can walk through some mock ups of the space station and all that....none of it's made for a guy my size...thats for damn sure!

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats win it all or at least get there. Maye is awesome.
    • Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
