LaFell Sign's (Clausen is the only one left)

Lol Michael Crabtree thinking he's the second coming of Jerry Rice.

I think this is unfair. He got screwed by Oakland doing what Oakland does and taking Bay who was clearly inferior. From a talent perspective he should have been taken higher and gotten paid. Shouldn't have held out as long as he did but I can see why he was pissed because the Oakland pick was simply a joke.

Clausen doesn't deserve first round coin but given that he was Carolina's first pick in the draft and is arguably a first round talent and a franchise QB his agent can make a case that his pay should not be based upon how much the guy ahead of him gets paid. It wouldn't surprise me if he ends up in the top 5 for second rounders.

Clausen has an image problem. He will be in camp. I bet there will be some incentives in that contract.

This!

I don't think this is a particularly difficult contract, just a complicated one because it will be heavily incentive laden. Much like the Weinke contract, Clausen will be slotted, but have a lot of incentives built in. The basic structure will be pretty easy, they just need to work out the details.

And Clausen knows he needs to get in on time if he wants any chance to unseat Moore. Not to mention, that the longer he is out, the further he gets from even the #2 spot. So I think Clausen and his agent are smart enough to realize that it is an absolute must that he is here from day one.

I think you guys are all wrong about having an incentive-laden contract. Clausen's agent would stupid to agree to a contract filled with incentives given the fact the guy isn't the starting QB- how's he gonna achieve any of the incentive benchmarks when he'll spend the majority, if not all, of this season holding a clipboard and next season is a lockout?

It doesnt matter if it's a joke or not. Oakland thought Bey was better, and took him higher then Crabtree. Picks are signed to more money based off of where they go, so Crabtree acted like a little girl because he wasnt picked high enough.

incentives in his contract are in case he starts and plays well so that he won't be grossly under paid like cj in tenn.
