Would Jerry Richardson...

I remember rumors last year that if Fox had a bad season, Cowher would be the new coach. While this was certainly not a bad year, I would still rather have Cowher.

True, hes already stated he wont be coaching anywhere this coming season, he wasnt offered anything as good as this gig. He already lives in Raleigh.

It wont happen, but I can dream..

Fox isn't going anywhere...enough already....

Yep. This is getting old. We lost & should move on. Complaining about it every day is not healthy. Look how our defense before Trgo came. If Fox can get that kind of defense back along with fixing our offense, we could be good again. Man, I wish Del Rio never left. :(

For those of you that Think Cowher is so much better than Fox.

Bill Cowher was a head coach for 15 NFL seasons. He went to 2 superbowls and won one. He coached for 5 years before making his first superbowl. He coached for 14 years before winning his first and only superbowl.

To this point in his career Fox has been every bit as successful as Cowher was.

QFT.

Fox is one of the top coaches in the game. I strongly disagree w/ some of his philosophies at times but the bottom line is he's one of the best coaches in the leagues.

Trgovac has got go

Based on your statement, Fox is one of the best coaches, but his D coordinator, who BTW has been here for 4+ years, must be fired. How come a best coach keeps a bad coordinator for such a long time?

How did that look Sat night?

How does one of the best coaches...who is supposed to be a D guy....have a D that plays like that? (It has been going on now for a while...not just talking about 1 game).

Fox is a great players coach...he is good a getting players. He is a poor game planner, poor game manager....he just does not adjust....within a game...or in general.

I would love to see a Panther team with a killer instinct.

Fox is going nowhere....but I just wish he would start learning from his mistakes. And.....he needs to replace Trgo.

I totally agree. You rarely ever see anything from Coach Fox but a benign stare and some irritating gum-chewing.

Going back to my "Cowher Dreams" comment, you would never have that. I would love to see our coach explode at a ref for a bad call with his lower jaw jutted out.

Hell, even if it cant be Cowher, just SOMEONE who shows more passion during a game.

Somewhat comparable, Foxy just leaves me with a feeling of one step forward, two steps back. I know Fox isnt going anywhere, I just want more emotion. I hope he proves me wrong and continues winning like this season. We have a tough schedule next season and my heart cant handle another .500 year after the success this season.

firing a coach only means you have a 50-50 chance the replacement will be better. i for one am not eager to see the second coming of a george seifert

Seifert was a joke. No one who actually watched pro football thought he would be a good coach without Walsh wiping his ass for him. I may be mistaken but I believe Cowher was the youngest head coach in the history of the league at the time he was hired. I'm sure he's learned alot since then (like not to kiss his QB on the sideline).

Are the fans here really so loyal to and enamoured with Fox to think he is actually a good HC? This team has way too much talent to waste and keeping Fox and Trugo is just that, a waste.

 Fox is not one of the best coaches in the game. He routinely gets outcoached in big games. His philosophy is outdated. He refuses to change his game plan even if its not working.

What happens when the best players on the team lose confidence in the coaching staff and start bailing out? That's next and then it won't matter. No coach is worth that. Like someone else said , this is a business and there is no choice now but to make some tough decisions.

    • As a Panthers fan I know what incompetence and doubling down on mistakes looks like. The Bills are fools for not just going ahead and cleaning house. Already seen that scenario play out with Fitterer. And it will end the same way for them.
    • Ive watched every snap he has played and the dude has a howitzer  CJ Bailey is noted for having impressive, "elite" arm strength with the ability to "push the ball downfield with ease," consistently completing deep shots with high yards-per-attempt, and threading tight windows with velocity, making him a modern NFL-caliber quarterback prospect with no significant arm strength concerns, per 247Sports, The Duke Chronicle, and Trinity Road Times. He's described as a "twitchy thrower" with long limbs, capable of making difficult throws under pressure and creating plays off-schedule, demonstrating both power and placement.    Key Aspects of CJ Bailey's Arm Strength:   Deep Ball Prowess: He ranks highly among Power Four quarterbacks for deep shot attempts, averaging significant yards per attempt, showing he can easily get the ball downfield. Velocity & Zip: He delivers throws with "requisite zip," layering the ball over defenders and hitting receivers in stride, notes Write For California. Tight Windows: Bailey successfully challenges tight windows and places the ball well, even when layering it over multiple defenders, say Write For California and 247Sports. Off-Schedule Plays: He can make throws with power and accuracy even when scrambling and creating his own space, showing advanced arm talent, notes 247Sports.    In short, Bailey possesses the arm talent expected of a high-level modern quarterback, able to generate both power and touch to make all throws, say 247Sports, The Duke Chronicle, and Trinity Road Times.
    • He has gunslinger tendencies but I am telling you, I don't see a high caliber NFL arm. It's very, very average or below.
