My brother walked in on a home invasion in progress the other night...

Friends had been at a bar. He left the bar and went to the house where there was a latenight party. He came through the back door of a house where there this party going on. Dude in a mask comes to the back door and says MF this, MF that...my brother pushes him back thinking it was a joke. Dude then puts a revolver to his dome and tells him to get on the Flo. Brother sees it isnt a joke, gets on the floor with the other people.

The perps pistol whip one or two folks, take all their wallets/purses, fire two shots through the door when they leave....

Brother is lucky he is alive, from A: Walking in the backdoor surprising them. and B: not having a wallet to give them. He did have $20 in his pocket. He handed over.

Not sure if he was able to get the poo stains out of his pants.

my brother recently almost killed somebody breaking into his house about a month ago. He caught them in the act but they didn't know he was watching them. Thank God the cops got their in time. It turned out it was two 17 year old kids and the guns they had weren't even loaded. That would have been a bad thing to have on his conscious.

I would have shot first and asked questions later. I have been faced with near death and trust me you want to live no matter what happens after. You value life after its threatened.

This is a great story on how gun control works. The robbers did not have to worry one bit about getting shot. A safe and clean get away.

For real though I am glad no one was hurt and they were all lucky.

where does his brother live that they don't allow guns?

yes....sounds like it would have ended way better if everyone in the house all had a gun, maybe even two

No shortage of guns...but its not as simple as you make it sound. My brother said he wouldnt have used one, unless the guys started killing people. He just didnt have a chance. Its easy to say youd use one, but if they get the drop on you, its not easy. Still these guys were brazen to go into a house with that many people there.

WOW, small world. That's where my brother was living when he got broken into. He was in pilot training at the AF base.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
