Ezekiel 25:17

Samuel L. Jackson

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the Valley of Darkness; for he is truly his brother's keeper, and the finder of lost children. And, I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers! And, you will know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee!

I'M NOT YELLING! THIS IS JUST THE WAY THAT I TALK!...

:out:

At the very least his movies stand apart from the homogenized horse sh*t that Hollywood has cranking out for the last 15yrs.

They stand apart from the rest of Hollywood's films, sure, but do they stand out from any other Tarantino movie ever made? All of his clever-yet-meaningless dialogue and gratuitous violence was once cutting-edge, but now I just find it trite and uninspired.

If you've seen one Tarantino film, you've seen just about them all.

I'm not going try and defend the guy, film tastes are subjective, like and dislike what you want.

But I think you can apply the "If you seen one you seen them all" to any big time director. That's what sets them apart of the rest of the homogized movie world

Scorcess, Spielberg, Tarintino, they all have there own style you know what your getting when you go to one of there movies.

You're right there.

I guess the difference, to me, between Tarantino's work and that of the other directors you mentioned is that those directors do well because they tell meaningful stories well.

To me (and this is just one man's opinion), Tarantino gets by on novelty.

    • I don't think working from memory is going to be very productive or useful. You would need to compare them all, which is far easier to do from the breakdowns of each game. That has tiered charts that give real data.  But, even then that wouldn't substitute for a trained eye(s) doing detailed film analysis to attempt to determine if we are modifying the offense dramatically for Bryce.
    • I think front office and general team culture under new ownership is sort of on the right track. The rookies all look incredible compared to where you'd expect each one of them to be right now. Lee's in game coaching is awful, he might be ok as a culture and developmental guy but that can't outweigh the in-game miscues and bad game plans. If LaMelo can't figure out the ankles then I think you gotta trade him for a haul, can't keep having your seasons lost every year because he can't stay on the court. And I say that as a big fan of him. Miller I think is unlucky, he looks likely to be an elite core player for us, but if he can't put together a stretch of healthy seasons he would trend towards LaMelo and need to be moved. I used to like Miles on the court a lot more but nowadays he's just an empty stat guy who needs to go. The short lived hot start to the season was fun but unless LaMelo and Miller both get and stay healthy within the next few weeks I can't even see us being a play-in team this year. And even if they do get healthy, we're probably looking at play-in at best, maybe barely compete for that fringe 6th seed.
