I know it hurts, but I think you both know you need to end it.

This isn't a bad thing; this is life. Interest and love wanes, and in its wake is the opportunity for a greater, more honest and real love. You'll find that, trust me.

Just know that what you're going through is nothing different than any of us have gone through. Appreciate the good times you had, but appreciate all the more the fact you'll meet someone ten times better for you, and that you'll be able to look fondly back upon this relationship for exactly what it is: fun, young lust.

Trust me on this; I've been drinking.

Well, I will say that I usually take drunk advice best because its usually as honest as a person can get.

Its gonna be rough, but fug it, I'm a man. I got Braves all week and the HoF game Sunday to look forward to. Plus, possibly fishing Saturday.

Its not official yet, but after re-reading what I posted in the OP (tonight's OP I mean), it is impending. That's tomorrow's business because she is probably passed out by now.

You're thinking emotionally, which is to be expected. But when you think cerebrally, I think you'll realize that she wasn't the one for you, and that this relationship will pale in comparison with "the right one." I can say that for myself, and I know most of the guys here can probably look back and laugh at the women they thought were right for them. They weren't. And she's not.

You've got your whole life ahead of you; enjoy it!

word man... i'm going through some bullshit with my x-fiance right now. details are too numerous to run, but i thought she was the one. that's the reason why i put a ring on her finger and was planning my future around her.

plus she made me wings on sundays and watched every game with me even tho she didn't understand football. when she asked questions i answered them because they weren't annoying stupid questions about the sport... and did i mention she made me wings. best i ever had. after the games we'd fug and get ready for monday.

tell me that's not the american dream...

because of her i'm now a convicted felon in the state of georgia, albeit i do have first offender rights. still tho i'm in a fuged up situation all because of an argument. since i got out of jail we've been working on our relationship, but it's only getting worse... i can't wait for football to come back and rescue me from this bitch... either that or have the quality time we had before.

A woman who makes wings before having sex does indeed sound like the American dream, but it's really not. But those women are tough to turn away. Still, that's not love, and it's not worth a future.

It's fun for a time, and that's really the brilliance of it all. You should be able to look back and appreciate simultaneously the best and worst of the relationship; the beauty and the absurdity. That's all we've got.

On to the next one.

    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
    • At least we don't need to hear overreacting about towels ...
    • Actually there is, try being a Charlotte Hornets fan. I mean the team fuging moved at its peak and hasn't recovered since and that was 25 years ago
