I had high hopes for him when he was here. It seemed fairly obvious that he wasn't going to contribute much at the receiver position, but our return game has been so bad for so long, I wish the Panthers would consider having a dedicated returner.

I'll go on the record as saying we do not have any better options than Beavers this year.

A few guys (Moore and Sutton) showed a flash or two last year, but that was it. The only new blood that might contribute is Edwards and Witherspoon -- am I missing anyone there? I know Guy has tried, but I don't see him making the roster.

I thought Witherspoon would be a nice option -- and maybe he is -- but the front office seems deadset on having Edwards field the punts. Hopefully he'll continue to improve. The potential is there.
