New look or new stadium for Panthers?

Three things that definitely need changing:

1. The "Nascar type" cursive letters Carolina Panthers in the endzones

2. Need new logo. I took a quick survey at a sports bar the other night. Only 1 out of 20 people even knew that the panther logo was made in the shape of South Carolina for the head and North Carolina for the neck line. If no one knows this, it is just an ugly Panther.

3. Once we get a new logo...put it in the middle of the field. The NFL logo sucks.

The logo is fine imo. Personally I just think the stadium needs a new look. I think it would be really cool to put up panthers statues (similar to the ones in the entrances) actually inside the stadium, or perhaps have then prowling on the tips of the bowl of the stadium.

I wouldn't mind a sharpened up logo, like the Eagles did.

But the stadium is fine, I like the look from the outside a lot. All it needs are some renovations on the inside...it's pretty dull on the inside (in the bowl and around the concessions)

And change the neon Carolina blue, darken it please. Our white uniforms are terrible...come on I mean just look at those blue socks...

There is no need for a new stadiium and shouldnt be for a long time. The place is still nice, it is in a great location, plenty of suites, plenty of other stuff. In addition if this team wants to build any history they have to stay in the same place and building for awhile. That is not the main priority, but with what I said in the first line it cant hurt. Finally, I have great seats, love my location and DO NOT want to have to deal with making sure they are as good in a new place.

I dont know why the guy wrote this article. It was unnecessary. Panther stadium is fine, still very nice and easily able to update when and if ever needed.

my understanding is they will build new. a site very nearby has already been selected so they can build while still playing in current stadium. the major holdup now is who is going to pay for demolition of current stadium. city thinks team should since they will be playing in and earning money in the new stadium while the job is being done so if the team is benefiting from not having to move games elsewhere while demo is being done and rebuilding on same site, they should spend the money to remove the old stadium so that space can be developed for other purposes.

i just had this conversation with someone who just retired from the banking industry in charlotte (i'm designing their house here on the outer banks) and they seem to be "in the know". i of course have no real proof or facts to support his claims but he strongly believes they are headed in the direction of a new stadium. he said we had 20 year lease on the current one and are 15 years in so the timing from the drawing table to opening day sounds about right.

If we got a new stadium if would have to be ultra badass, otherwise there is no point. I think the stadium we have is fine they just need to some renovations. I'm still on board with my panther statue idea.
