This is probably the direction they will go. Cover it with out showing the majorly violent parts.

I don't think that you can cut the main characters arm off early in a show. However this could happen towards the end of the show, could make for a climactic ending.

That's what's going to make Walking Dead so revolutionary, if they're modestly faithful to the story arcs in the comics.

Yea, Starting with the farm through the governor is where you start to see Rick break down gradually and is vital to the story...Which is mainly about Rick and him coping with everything that happens to him and the group.

Not sure how a Walking Dead Tv series could miss any of that.

The season finale was a let down. The writing needs some serious work. I don't really care about any of the characters, they're all very one dimensional and not very rational, and the show has its share of plot holes that kill the realism they've tried to establish. Also, for show about zombies there's sure a lack of zombies.

I'll still be watching though, so AMC wins.

I feel the same way about the writing and characterization. Likewise, I will still watch (and enjoy) the show -- I just think the writing could be better.
