Is matt moore criticism allowed on here?

Now the truth has come to the top

He hates Matt and thinks Clausen is the better QB

I'm guessing based on what Clausen did in college

A superior college Q B to Matt Moore

I've seen several superior college QB's that N E V E R made it in the N F L

And several undrafted QB's that have played in Super Bowls

Neither Matt nor Clausen have a season under their belts as a starter.

So its impossible to say which will be the better long term.

But Matt does have a few N F L starts and wins under his belt

Reminds me of a QB that Atlanta traded after he threw 6 passes

2 were ints 4 were incomplete

Atlanta wanted no part of this Kid

That kid just unretired again for the Vikes

Don't write a QB off untill he has had his chance

so atlanta DRAFTED a qb who might had potential, im guessing your saying don't give up on clausen? okay i wont.

na my paychecks usually could buy the entire huddle tailgate jerseys, nice try tho.

Perhaps someone who is a Huddle tailgate regular can enlighten me on how many people are typically there? Even if it's a modest 30, that's $3,000 minimum per check. Paid twice a month you take home $6,000. If you're net monthly is $6K your gross is closer to $80K. Given your inability to come up with neither a rational thought nor a coherent way to communicate said thought, I put your annual income closer to the $20K range. Call it a hunch.

No I'm saying Moore may have more potential than your giving him credit for

And Clausen could just as well be another in a long line of great college Q B 's that never made it in the pro's

You point out that Moore could not beat out all those other Panther QB's

Jake N E V E R beat out Jeff Blake or Aaron Brooks either

I thought you were for sure Jimmy's brother, either Rick or Casey (sp) because they have been tailgating off of his career for a while and thought maybe that if he got the job one of you would be the next OC like in his high school days.

Jimmy didn't have a better college career than Matt. Look it up. Also, if you want to compare high school days you can argue that Matt did the same as Jimmy with less talent, since his dad wasn't paying for six other kids scholarships lol.

Basically anything you want to argue as to why Jimmy should start or why you think he will be great, Moore has been there and done that it's just ESPN didn't talk about it (unless you count the article in ESPN the Magazine when Moore was in HS).

Bring it on d34...

i dunno guys, i must have missed that hr meeting at the huddle office where we decided that all negativity towards matt moore was to be left at the door. I'm serious 90 percent of the huddle supports matt moore like he was the unquestioned 6 time pro bowler 4500 yard 30td passer that he is not. I wish the guy well, but at the same time I would love for every player in that roster to be in "a short leash". I hope moore kills, and if he dosen't then he really needs to get evaluated cc(i hope). There seems to be a serious backlash to anyone calling moore anything but hope, like called a troll, or even question the faith in the team. And look all I hope for the huddle is to understand that this guy has not grown on some people, and if the guy struggles next week, and we start shaky because poor offense/qb play to really realize that moore may not be the guy, clausen may be a bust and we might look to trade for a qb.....but seriously guys, i hope we can get moore of his high chair, go out there and earn your job buddy, start 6-0 THEN i might buy your jersey, till then...

Criticism of Matt Moore is, indeed, allowed.

Unwarranted panic and freaking out over preseason games is also within the rules

    • Yeah and I am doubtful he can offer that consistently. I don’t have many years left at my age and in my view we have wasted two and this whole exercise with him was always a three year minimum.  I am out on that with a guy I don’t believe in, and never believed in, it has sucked. To me it is a costly detour off the right track. Years.    But I am not so rigid that I can’t see excellence. He needs to display it though, consistently before I change my outlook.
    • No, when I said rage, I meant rage, which only applies to certain fans on this board. Your timeline of trying to assess whether he is the future or not is really tied to the discussions surrounding his second contract. If this team is going to commit to some monster contract while he has shown nothing but glimpses of brilliance would be deservedly worrisome, so the clock is genuinely ticking for him to settle into something resembling his final form. Perhaps a best case scenario is that he plays well, the team succeeds, but he does so with a more limited role that makes the rest of the league view him as a game manager, and his second contract value reflects that. Then he continues to improve and becomes a bargain comparatively while not handicapping the team around him, and we enter an era of consistent championship competitiveness that the fanbase has craved for decades and has never really experienced before. But that requires many, many things to go right and for Bryce himself to facilitate that if he ends up being the quarterback of the future.
    • Exactly. And the flame throwers as well, get location benefits from not going all out. But they have it in reserve.  Not sure how much Greg had but he was an artist.  There was a YouTube I came across last year or maybe even 2023 and I don’t how to even find now but it had two NFL QBs I want say one was Carr from the Raiders but I don’t really remember  The point of it is they stood side by side throwing identical distances to identical targets. Radar gun was used.  They threw the normal effort (not all out) and it was measured etc. Then they were asked to throw their ‘fastball’. They were missing and most often they were missing high. It demonstrated the same principle.    edit: and applying that to arm strength, give me the guy that doesn’t need max effort to have good velocity. The margins are so narrow with less velocity in tne NFL the defenders can Close on it and this is a league where they value down to the 100th of a second level. It is that tight
