Why not Mushin???

Pantherman

Why we got a few threads talking about what WR we should go for wheather it is Bryant or Cole. People forget that all the Panthers have to do is pickup the Phone and call Mushin if needed bad enough he would unretire and come play for them for another season. I truly believe panthers are happy enough with what they got at Wr postion right now. I think Mushin would be first choice to call over the other 2 that are out there. Simply because Mushin is a great run blocker and a good WR who can go up for the ball and get wide open and plus he already knows the playbook. But for now I'm sure Fox will stick with what he has. But if it came down to needing a Vet to secure the 2nd WR spot if the other rookies fail to produce. Mushin would be the best first choice for them to go with in this case.

For all we know Moose has been eating Ruth Chris butter soaked steaks and sitting on the couch since he retired a few months back. He was already starting to loose a step last year, and while I'm sure it wouldn't take much to get him in playing shape but I wouldn't want to have him come back and not play to expectations and have everyone rip him.

Well coles is over the hill and Bryant is pretty much injuried. So Mushin has lost a step. But I bet you he still better then both them at this point. That is fact. The only reason he retired is one he wanted to retire as a panther and 2 he saw the panthers was going young so called it quits. Bottomline if it came down to the panthers needing a Vet WR to sure up the number 2 to help out smith this year. Mushin would be the best choice of all 3.:incazzato:

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
