Anyone allergic to shellfish? I am severely allergic and it seems girls always want to eat shrimp when we go out. It has made a few dates fizzle. Any non awkward way to communicate this?

My girlfriend is allergic to shellfish. I was absolutely craving crab legs one night when we wet out, so I ordered them and made sure I brushed all hell out of my teeth that night and took a long shower after. It didn't matter. She woke up in the middle of the night with a bad reaction.

When you go out for a first or second date, just bring it up at the beginning before you choose where to eat. "I'm allergic to shellfish, and I can have a reaction from eating french fries out a fryer also used to fry shrimp. So if you don't want me to break out in hives our first date, can we find somewhere that doesn't serve a lot of fried seafood?"

Inject humor in the situation while simultaneously implying that if she wants to get some that night, she better not eat shellish.

Other option is to talk about it while you're lookng at the menu. "You know what eally sucks? Never being able to eat a crab cake...." That way she knows before she orders that you're allergic.

EDIT: The point is, it shouldn't be awkward if you bring it up befre ordering or before choosing a place to eat. If she orders shellfish and then you bring it up....yeah that's kinda awkward.

      Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."

      1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
