QUESTION....actually a few questions

soooo...this guy asked me to go out on a date last week and I told him yes. He told me he wanted to take me to Brio so I'm like hell yeah. He is a Panthers fan and seems like a fairly nice good guy but Im honestly not sure.

Sooo today Im looking on NFL.com and I'm like Oh crap, duh, the game is Thursday. So I texted him and was like hey, the game is Thursday, sooo we could a. go somewhere and watch it together and still have a "date" or b.just reschedule and have dinner some other night this week. He answered and said that he wants to go watch the game which is totally cool with me but I sort of prewarned him I might be a little intense.

question 1: do I look like an alcoholic for wanting to go somewhere we can drink beer and watch the game instead of Brio?

question 2: Is this gonna be really bad when he realizes how intense I am when I start jumping around or yelling at the TV?

question 3: Should I really let the first time we actually go out be one where I am wearing a Beason jersey when we could go to Brio another night and I could dress up?

Would love a male's perspective on this..

at least we know we have 1 thing in common right? we both like the panthers?

help.

damn. cant get a legit answer without the pervs comin outta the woodwork haha.

I didn't say anything about him liking football..I mean, he has made it blatantly obvious he likes the panthers...and it will be very obvious if he doesn't know what he's talking about if I start talking about things and he doesn't know how to answer or we're watching the game and he doesn't know anything.

If he doesnt like football then he isnt worth dating.

I think the situation becomes easier to understand if you come to the basic understanding that currently he just wants to have sex with you. If he gets wings, beer and football in lieu of that or better yet before that, all the better.

One thing to understand about men, it's not till we're fed and fcked that our emotions come into play.

    • I don't think it's any weird or unique clause, it's the offset language, same thing so many contract disputes are over. It just means that including it, if a player is cut and then signed by another team, the original team would be able to subtract how much they're getting paid by the new team from what they still owe him on their guaranteed money. For example, it's why Russell Wilson signed for the minimum last year with the Steelers as that was included in his Denver contract.  So if he signed with the Steelers for $1 million, he'd get $1 million less from the Broncos, if it was $2 million, he'd get $2 million less, basically he couldn't make any more money than he was already going to make, so you sign for the minimum to not take unnecessary cap room from your new team while giving extra cap room to your old one. The problem with trying to include it in rookie deals is that a team trying to include it, it says they think they don't really believe the player will make it 4 years with the team before they cut them.  And this usually comes up with one or two rookies in most seasons, the difference is it's usually handled much more quietly and not as public and ugly as this one. The other difference is that it's happening with the Bengals, which I believe I saw are one of the few (or only?) team that doesn't have protections for rookies in rookie and mini camps to be able to participate even if they haven't signed their contract yet.  The other teams have injury protections that allow them to still play, but the Bengals do not, which is also why this one is so public and ugly, as most the time this happens, the rookie is still participating in the rookie and subsequent mini camps, giving them more time to get the contract done before training camp when they'd then hold out.
