Loud eating

No doubt... sometimes I think old people rule Wilmington, there are so many here. My other pet peeve is old people trying to use the self-checkout lane at Teeter... just go to the damn regular line, you're NEVER gonna figure it out!!!!!

i've all but given up on those things. you still have to show ID for alcohol so you deal with a cashier anyway, and the things are so finicky about stuff being in a bag. theres only so much room at those things. last time i tried using one i was buying a piece of plywood at lowes along with some other things, and the machine wanted the plywood in the bag. gimme a break. technology should be better than that.

i broke up with a girl once for eating with her mouth open. i didn't care how drunk she was. its inexcusable.

Once had a coworker who was the absolute worst. He'd do it in the office while we were all trying to concentrate on writing or whatever else we were doing. So we complained to our boss. She completely sold us out, we thought she was going to say something and at the next office meeting she says "So does anyone have anything they'd like to say about anything bothering them? Speak now or forever hold your peace." Then years later in Charlotte I went to lunch with her and found out why...she's a smacker, too.

They're really good and fast if you've got like ten things... usually there's some 75 year old grandma at one with a whole basket full of stuff trying for ten minutes to scan one item, all the while I'm trying to hurry back to the office... :mad5:

God, the all time worst was this kid in high school. He was a open-mouth-eater, and a smacker, and for some reason he always ate bananas. Why did he have to eat bananas? Why?

I'm not sure you've ever heard a open-mouth-eater tackle a banana, but it sounds like a morbidly obese 50-something woman getting fingered.

I have an invention idea....things that fit on your ears and point toward the screen at the movies. These would drown out the sound of the idiot behind you who chews popcorn with his mouth open, or the lady who opens her candy bag for one effing piece of candy 78 times during the movie. Or the kid who moves his straw up and down in his drink. Of course, it would encourage people to make fun of you, but I also sell a disguise with my invention.

    • No need to explain everyone on here ‘drunk posts’ watching this team …who could blame anyone  when they were mentioned in the same breath as the Jets and Browns onward and upward as far as bryce’s little fella self, can take them
    • Sigh, we should of have kept Ashawn over this bum.
    • Well, everyone is a critic.  not much meat on the bone here in analysis but if the team needs motivation … lol   I have also heard a lot of talking head or two say that ‘Young is not in the same class as most of these teams and that in 12 of the 17 games he is the lesser QB   BR write up below  2025 record: 8-9 Last season, the Carolina Panthers made the playoffs for the first time since 2017. They won the division. Bryce Young made strides, throwing for 3,011 yards, 23 touchdowns and 11 interceptions with a 63.6 percent completion rate. Wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan won the 2025 Offensive Rookie of the Year award. In free agency, the Panthers signed edge-rusher Jaelan Phillips and linebacker Devin Lloyd to bolster their middling defense. Carolina can win with complementary football if the offense continues to trend in the right direction. In 2026, Carolina will play the AFC North and NFC North on a first-place schedule, which includes matchups against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, and the Seattle Seahawks. The club will have a much tougher 17-game slate than it had last year, which may lead to regression. The Panthers aren't on the same level as the league's top teams. We'll see the gap between them and division-winning clubs from the previous season. 2026 projection: 6-11
