For all the people that say Smitty makes Delhomme

I never said it was Smitty's fault, I said if Smitty wasn't here he wouldnt make some the throws he makes and would make less mistakes.

Just look at 2004, Smitty missed the whole season and Delhomme had his best year, 3886yards 29tds 15ints

Sounds like a plan. Get rid of your best receiver because your QB won't stop locking onto him.

Did I ever say get rid of Smitty?

You rednecks are so f*cking retarded.

Surely you can understand the faulty logic in your statement. Forcing a ball somewhere it should not be is always the quarterback’s fault. You can’t blame Steve Smith just because he is so good he makes Jake throw to him.

That would be like me blaming delicious reuben sandwiches for my weight problem. They are so tasty they made me eat them!

(I don’t like reubens nor do I have a weight problem, but I think you catch my drift.)

That Smitty makes Delhomme struggle because he has too much confidence in him.

That's a strange way to look at it. Delhomme makes himself struggle. He can throw it wherever he wants. Maybe Smith should tone down his awesomeness so Jake won't target him as much.

    • I'd give Bryce until the trade deadline to prove he's the answer and if he's not I'm dumping him for whatever pick we can get and I'm riding with Dalton the rest of the way.  2 and a half years is enough time to determine if he can be the QB going forward so for Bryce he needs to come out over the next couple of weeks and show that. The other players in the locker room don't wanna waste another year of their careers waiting to see if you'll ever figure it out.  If you took a poll of the players in the locker room I'm sure they'd rather lose with a respected veteran Dalton who at least gives them some creditability versus losing with Bryce who the entire media will say was let down by his supporting cast when in reality it's Bryce's physical limitations that are holding this team back.
    • I agree that he should’ve never been the pick at 1. In my 44 years I’ve never seen a team invest that much in a QB who is my size. I’m not meant for the NFL and neither is he.    Accepting we can’t change the past, I think it’s the correct call to keep playing him hoping that he will prove us wrong. I think we were dumb not to draft a QB this past year and let him learn and compete but that’s our reality.    I’m hoping this is the last year with the BY experiment and he deliverers us 1. To the playoffs or 2. The number one pick and we draft a real QB.
    • In his first interview after the surgery he sounded absolutely miserable.  Man that must beat you down to have that done
