Pat White released

And now cleared wavers thu every NFL team.

Used incorrectly or sucks?

In April 2009, the league buzzed about the pro prospects of former West Virginia quarterback Pat White. Pegged as a potential second-round pick after a strong showing at the Senior Bowl, the Scouting Combine, and his Pro Day workout, White matched former WVU quarterback (and new A.D.) Oliver Luck as the highest-drafted quarterback in school history, at No. 44 overall.

White's career with the Dolphins ended with a thud on Saturday, waived by Miami before the start of his second NFL season.

Perhaps even more surprising is what didn't happen by noon on Sunday. Per a league source, no one claimed White on waivers.

Dolphins got into a catch 22. Had Thigpen Henne and Pennington. White need 2 years of training at QB before he would have been ready but injuries to Pennington messed that up. Sad thing is he cant even get on a Practice Squad since he was on the active roster alll of last year.

Exactly, tough break for Pat. Good kid. He'll get another chance probably, or end up in the CFL

Didnt expect any other teams to be interested in him. He is unproven and no one wants to waste a spot for him this year. Havent heard what he plans to do but if he wants to continue playing football he needs to go the UFL. Get some reps there and then come into training camp next year with another team.
