For the veteran minimum! The freakin veteran minimum!! How the hell do the panthers not give him 200k more and sign this guy?!?!?

Doubtful that he would have signed here for that small of a difference. At 32 yo, he prob wanted to go to the team that gave him the best chance at a ring....reason that the Vikes and Ravens were high on his list.

Still would have loved to have gotten him.

There's a Stallworth fill-in.

... and cue 13,541 POed posts about why you guys didn't go for him, if he was signing that cheap.

Who's pissed off? I'm not pissed off. Mostly because I knew Hurney and Co. wouldn't make a play at him, because...

a. He's over 30.

b. He wanted more than a rookie salary.

There have been so many good veteran receivers come and go through Free Agency, our inaction was expected.

    • It's definitely a historical issue at QB but to be perfectly blunt, we also don't do a good job of really developing almost any position if you look at the last decade or so. I tend to be on the side of that being far less a development issue than an evaluation deficiency.  I think we are in the situation at QB2/3 recently due to the overall roster being absolutely abhorrent and the QB classes being quite thin. It is harder to justify another Matt Corral(or several) when you can potentially get a real two deep contributor at other positions.  But, it was a lot of hard work to get to the point where are roster is so incredibly bad that luxury picks literally are not in our vocabulary.  This is the reaping what you sow portion of our history.
    • That is what I meant about our front office. They are like someone filling out a March Madness bracket based on preference of uniform colors and mascots. There's no rhyme of reason to some of these fugg'n mind numbing decisions they make.  They go all in on these flimsy-@ss prospects and are gun shy when it comes to more solid prospects.  It's literally maddening and the reason I stopped being so emotionally involved in this team. Heck the only reason I'm active on the board today is one, it's my day off and two, it's cut down time.
