after listening to this smith's 9/6 Panthers Update, i can't see how the FO assumed he is going to be the vet wr that teaches the rooks what they need to know. they should have picked up someone else because frankly, he doesn't sound like he wants the job. don't get me wrong, we ALL love 89.......but is he really the best example for them to learn from..?

nah, i really like the wr corps. i just don't think they're ready. but then again you could say the same about our qbs.

Smith was mentored by Moose and I specifically remember him working out with Drew Carter. I think he's just fine being a mentor but he is not going to go out of his way to do it.

im down. and in all fairness to him, it's up to the other guys to step up. he can back up his attitude with his play on the field....something DJ can't seem to do.
