Your take from the Yahoo Sports Clip of Free Agents from:

Julius Peppers, DE, Carolina PanthersAfter bouncing back big with 14½ sacks this season, it’s extremely unlikely Peppers is going anywhere, particularly after the Panthers saw what happened to the Kansas City Chiefs’ front line when it dealt Jared Allen. Peppers will sign a massive deal, or the Panthers will retain him with the franchise tag.

Jordan Gross, OT, Carolina Panthers

There has been some thought that Carolina can’t afford to keep both Gross and Peppers, especially considering they’re arguably the best free agent talent at “premium” positions. The reality is that Carolina likely can’t keep Gross, Peppers and quarterback Jake Delhomme, who will have a reported $11 million cap number next season. Smart money says the Panthers franchise Peppers and get a deal with Gross done before free agency begins, then either cut Delhomme or dramatically rework his deal.

Please GOD do the last part in RED.... PLEASE:D

Pepp was spotted at Denver Nuggets games all last year, so draw your own conclusions...

We can't afford to lose Gross IMO. Delhomme is a different story...

I was actually thinking we could deal him to the Broncos...We would never have to play him and they have pretty good draft position if they are willing to trade their first...it is best case scenario in my opinion with him not wanting to be here anymore.

Peppers is not as good as Jared Allen - I would take him over Pep. That is just my opinion. Plus the Panthers have alot more overall talent on their team and are not the Chiefs. They will not become the Chiefs without Peppers on the rost. I am going to trust Fox and Hurney on this decision with Peppers.

Let yahoo and all the other pundents prop and pump up Pep. That will just increase the asking price when the Panthers trade him.

My gut tells me take the picks + the 17 million and improve the defense that way. Again, I will trust Fox and Hurney on this one.

    • Incorrect, I have watched us consistently over quite a number of years. When I say Cam relied on athleticism, I simply mean his dual threat style and athleticism overshadowed the deficiencies in the passing game (his own or those created by the system).  Now I wouldn’t disagree that our OCs over that time were not amazing and arguably held him back, but correct me if I’m wrong, Cam had a habit of locking onto his receivers and overthrowing them. Gettleman even drafted two big receivers - Kelvin Benjamin and Devin Funchess - to give Cam receivers with a big catch radius.  Again, correct me if I’m wrong, but Cam had some mechanical issues. For example, the reliance on arm strength over touch and his footwork often led to him throwing off the back foot. There were many debates on these boards about his mechanics, with far more knowledgeable posters than I braking down what he needed to improve on. End of the day, I was as big a Cam fan as the next person, but he did have his shortcomings as a passer. Had he played under someone like Sean McVay or a similar offensive guru, with a high quality QB coach, then I’m sure they would have ironed out the kinks and he would have been far more dangerous and successful than he was. And that’s a scary thought of what he could have been under the likes of a McVay!
    • It's true that we are not scoring at a much higher clip than the Saints. They're averaging ~18.4 with Shough and in that same span we're averaging ~19, so pretty close, despite Bryce having better TD numbers over that period. Both our teams are a far, far cry from the NFL average of 23.3...
    • I like when this big kat is going crazy panther fan and not the pat jersey betting against persona.
