We must be talking about a different Tank Tyler than the one who played for the Panthers.

In 6 games last year he had a total of 8 tackles and 0 sacks. In fact in his total career he has never had a sack. What exactly is there to miss.

You can't keep everyone and he was the odd man out. Since he was a player we gave up a 5th rounder for, you can be sure he didn't do anything all preseason because he had the inside track otherwise. We could pick him up now if we wanted to. I don't think anyone has signed him.

Well look at it this way, we traded a 5th Round pick to get Tank. The Chiefs traded that pick to the Texans who drafted CB Sherrick McManis. He had one tackle last week.

With week one past, any team could have signed him without being obligated to guarantee his salary for the rest of the season. No one did, so it's not just the Panthers.

Mind you, if Louis Leonard's injury proves severe or if someone else goes down, Tyler could still be back.

(though I'd probably bet on Corvey Irvin being elevated before I would on Tank being re-signed)
