Actives & Inactives

I can't believe Pike is inactive. Going with two active QBs when one is coming off a concussion is risky.

3rd QB can come into the game even if on the inactive list I believe. It just means Clausen and Moore wouldn't be eligible to come back in....

I've said multiple times that I believe Edwards can be a great player, but the way they're handling him right now has me worried he'll end up like Dexter Jackson.

I'm excited to see how Gettis looks out there and I think he's got a lot more to offer than other guys we've been playing.

BTW, refresh my memory, did Brayton play last week? I thought he did but they're saying the injury is the same ankle from preseason.

How should they handle him....activate him even though they cant depend on him to contribute on special teams or be a consistent pass catcher....

Brayton played last week.

Please elaborate on your Dexter Jackson comment. I don't know anything about Dexter Jackson so I can't see the parallel.

Well if they feel the same way you just stated, he IS Dexter Jackson already. That's my point.

I thought he looked good the last 2 games of the preseason, returning included. So, they must believe he can't contribute at all right now to leave him inactive and play our 6th round pick ahead of him.

dexter jackson played with armati at app. state wide reciever. tampa bay drafted him in the 2nd round in 2007 and he got cut a year later. armanti drafted 3rd round and gave up a 2nd round pick for him next year. both were at app. state and both were picked way early in the draft than they should have been

Our 6th round pick is a better receiver....I personally think AE will be a nice weapon on offense but it wont be this year. Everyone will just have to get over the fact that we gave up a second to draft a guy we could have taken in the fourth or fifth and wont make an immediate impact....

It's hard to say that they don't believe he can contribute. There is a lot that goes into the decision making process here. One possibility is that they know what they have with him so far and are just going to give Gettis a chance to show why he is on the roster.

Both App. St. guys, both were huge playmakers there (pretty much the reason they beat Michigan). Both guys were essentially 2nd round picks, although AE cost us a 2nd and a 3rd. If I'm not mistaken the Bucs traded up in the 2nd to get Dexter Jackson. Jackson hardly played his rookie year b/c he developed a reputation of being afraid to get hit, had return problems, wasn't contributing as a WR and was cut during/after his 2nd training camp.
