The year Dallas went to the finals, Diop had a very good year, cuase he actually played. I think coming off the bench behind Okafor as another shot blocker and rebounder might boost his production and development (IMO). I guess we'll wait and see.

Great move. We get a Center (a 7footer) who will beef up our front court. That, and he plays pretty solid defense. I don't think his 1.4pts per game is indicative at all of the type of player he is. To all the Larry Brown pundits out there one thing is undeniable and that is he brings out the best in players. I really like the way our roster is shaping up. Playoff contender....no; On the right path, unequivocally heck yea.

I don't like having two big contracts to backup C's with limited offensive ability...neither of which will start. However, it does improve our frontline again and its better to have too many quality bigs than to be overloaded with guards

    • I never thought a second look was even necessary. I was begging the football gods not to have us trade up to the 1st pick. And damn once we did it was a thoroughbred vs a little pony.    If you have a perceived generational player in the pool and you have the 1st pick, you just don’t trade it. In the first place. But all this Bryce drama - which (understandably) takes over almost any thread, just like this one - would never have happened if the team was not sold to Tepper.
    • I agree. I understand why he did though. And surely he had his parents in his ear who have always gone out of their way to make sure he always had the best and the least amount of adversity around him to that point in his life advising him to do so. Where I take the most issue with it is when people who just want to be sycophants start listing off other QB's who didn't throw at the combine and you don't even make it through half the names before your eyes roll right into the back of your head realizing every single of those QB's who didn't throw already clearly showcased the necessary prerequisite physical talents needed for the position.
