First of all I just want to say to this board, I still support Matt and believe either one of these guys can get the job done with the right coaching, O-line and receiver support.

But here's our current situation. Our O-line is sucking and our receiving is still mainly Steve Smith. If we had another great receiver, and an O line capable of giving Matt enough time to feel comfortable in the pocket...I think sticking with Matt would be a no brainer, giving him more time to prove himself and Clausen more time to get ready.

But considering that we don't have that, it was pretty obvious that Clausen can release that ball quicker when he came in yesterday. He handled that pressure better and played his entire college career in that same style. He is used to not having an O-line and having to make lightning quick decisions, and his pick yesterday was clearly a tipped ball off of our own guy's hand.

Unlike last week, I think it was a BAD idea this time that the coach DIDN'T attempt more passes for a touchdown after Clausen drove us down the field. Clausen was on fire. Again...they do the wrong things at the wrong time and their decision to run this week was a result of the backlash they got from the media last week for not running. These guys are reacting to fans and media in their coaching which is just plain horrible.

So considering the situation and our schedule then we need to make the move to Clausen now, and give him a warm up game at home against the Bengals. DO NOT wait until next week to start Clausen on the road against the SAINTS! Give us a chance.

It may not save us this season, but it will at least give us a chance to finish strong, and if not to get Jimmy in form for next year, not to mention give Fox a chance at saving not his job, but possibly his career. Others are watching too.

well, don't get all mad when Moore starts...

With it being a non conference game, Moore will be given one more chance.

I won't. Like I said, I'm no longer pushing for Moore to get more chances but I don't think Moore is as incapable as some people are making him out to be. But I WILL be pissed if Fox benches Moore after this Sunday and puts Clausen in against the Saints on the road. If Moore starts Sunday, Moore should play the Saints, Moore should get this season, and if it goes sour Jimmy gets the last 3-4 games.

Benching him again after this Sunday and putting Jimmy in, will just destroy this team, and any chances we may still have at salvaging this season. And will kill Jimmy's debut.

Fox's career will be just fine

Don't be so sure. He might still get a job, but it could be the equivalent of Jake going to the Cleveland Browns if he doesn't show he can take a ruptured team and do something with it like he did when he first came here.

When teams ask for a new coach, that's typically the situation. Fox needs to prove he can at least do that consistently even if he can't prove he can have consecutive back to back winning seasons.

This is a perfect opportunity for him to show that he can take a broken team and do something with them. It serves him no good to just sit and ride the season out. How this season ends will affect exactly what TYPE of coaching job he gets AND how much his contract will be worth.

Everyone has Smitty and Dwill.

I wouldn't want a Moore OR Clausen right now.

I saw a good amt of people wearing Armanti jerseys yesterday which was kind of funny.

Kasay is always solid.

Im also extremely upset with the Panthers as a whole, well no, maybe the NFL. So, don't give the NFL any money. Maybe that's the best answer. Why give them money when they are going to SCREW us with a lockout next year. In the end, its the fans that suffer. Just messed up.
