This board needs to mature as much as the Panthers do.

That would never happen here...

Honestly when I came here yesterday after the game the site would not load. I figured it crashed from all the hate talk. ;)

I just don't get this elitist snobby attitude some fans are beginning to display. We don't have the history to act like that. We should be more greatful.

That's the attitude I would expect from Cowboys fans which is why I hate those guys. Not Panther fans.

I'm starting to question how beneficial it is keep your head in the clouds when your team puts out mediocrity every year...

Neither is it beneficial for people to keep their heads up their asses.

I'm well aware of this team's desperate need for changes and do not have my head in the clouds. I have been calling for changes for years. I'm simply talking about HOW we handle these changes as one of the main Panther forums on the internet.

I appreciate what folks have done in the past, but as the Panthers own promo says "what about right now?".

Players and coaches will tell you that you can't dwell on the past, it's irrelevant what you did last year or even last week.

I'm sure they mean that in a different way. It's irrelevant that we went to a Superbowl? When we win our first this year ;) it will be irrelevant next year?

seems like someone has some delusions of grandeur about what a fanbase does everywhere for every team. all fanbases are irrational. all hate when their team looks ugly or screws up. all hate when a player abandons their team. all love players who look like they can win until it looks like they can't and then they jump on board that one. all of them look back to whatever glory days they had and pine away for them until their team makes some new glory days.

if you don't like the message board or fan mentality that in reality is consistent throughout all of fandome...then find another hobby or quit spending time with fans that piss you off. good luck finding that group of one.

    • That was always the fear, expectation, concern, etc, I had.  Someone showed a still shot from his pick last game and said it showed that the defender closed 3 yards on that ball in the last portion of its flight. I forget the number. 10 yards I think it said but that sounds extreme.  When guys are open by a step, any slowing down to wait for the ball lets the defender back into the play. That sort of stuff makes the margins so small… these NFL CBs are not slow.   It is a league that highly values foot speed; the 40 times and drill times are scrutinized down to the hundredth of a second when evaluating these players on both sides of the passing game. Receivers and defenders both.   My thing with his arm strength (or anyone’s) was always “why do you want to do that? Plus pay extra picks to put yourself in that situation?”. Asking for trouble.     I wish there was a way to measure velocity on the back half of a throw compared to when it left the hand. Or really get accurate reading of the flight time of a ball from the near hash to the sideline, 10 yards down the field. Because teams could use that info. I have always seen this as being a disadvantage with Bryce but it is beyond my ability to quantify it.   I think it would show what that arm strength is really about, a lot more than just measuring how much air can you put under it so it will fly as far as possible.
    • Who didn't see that coming....
    • Its a detriment if he can't play...as we are seeing.
